Scoreboard issue has really become comical.

This is an embarrassment and an insult to the fans.

I wonder if we could possibly get the game stats removed and get a Canes ad up

Embarrassment to LSU. Looks awful. Pointless HD video board when half of it is ads.

Pathetic

Expanded NEZ screen...now with more ads! companies have contracts for certain ad space. since they took down the south endzone board for expansion they had to place them on the other scoreboard to honor the contracts. once expansion is finished they'll redo the board.

How about this negotiation tactic: There were two boards and half the stadium looked at one of the two. Now there is one and the entire stadium now looks at one. All lsu had to say was we won't charge you for the lost board but you'll get double the visibility for half the price.

Sad when Mississippi state has a better scoreboard than us. This looks like shite

My problem with it too. If Mississippi State can have a decent scoreboard not filled up with ads, why can't LSU? It boggles the mind.

While only a half serious suggestion, If you do business with these companies it certainly doesn't hurt to let them and the university know your displeasure with the situation.

I just sent Charlie Valluzzo an email and CC'ed Alleva.

It was scathing. I'm sure they will not read it.

No companies want to advertise in that crap city and stadium.

that so awful its hilarious

this...I laughed so hard when I saw the pic. looks like someone photoshopped the scoreboard longer and put the extra ads on it... do they really have to "make up for" lost ad space from the other scoreboard?! can't we just use the ads on the speaker space and use that screen to its full potential!?

I would imagine that both of those companies do since they paid a ton of money to have their company names placed on the scoreboard.

It appears that the ads toward the middle of the screen are not permanent.

Are we sure that part will not be used for viewing and only for ads at certain times?

@LSUFball: With loss of south scoreboard during expansion, LSU is obligated to make up the scoreboard ad inventory. Temporary solution.

Truly poor of the administration to allow this. Take a look at the board again and ask yourself how any reasonable human being could accept this as an end result. Contracts can be renegotiated. Common ground could have been found. Bottom line is, the administration did not have the fans' best interests in mind. Beyond disgusted.

LSU has a contract they must honor with LSUSports.net?

Also is there no worry about burn in on these images that do not change?

Really wish the entire nez had been enclosed with a facade and a large screen put in place. Would look great and hold the noise in.

Facade is a good idea. The screen would be in the way. They are sofa building something out there.
