Whose job is it to make sure they play “smart” basketball?

They are an amazing 116 KenPom and could lose traction even beating us.
UGA dropped to 117 in KenPom after beating us last night. That’s where we are.

I think 1-12 evaluates itself just fine

I think so too, and it's salient justification for terminating Coach McMahon.

Here is the coaching record of a well-known coach at an NCAA Division I power:

2003-04: 8-21 overall, 3-13 conference
2004-05: 9-19, 1-15
2005-06: 4-13, 4-12
2006-07: 15-16, 4-12

Surely the athletic director fired this coach after 4 years of utter futility. Or did he?

He didn't. That coach whose early record at Baylor University is shown above is none other than Scott Drew, a National Championship winning coach of now one of the winningest programs in college basketball.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Give McMahon an opportunity to show what he can do.

It's plain awful. Georgia tried to hand us the game by missing free-throws and it still didn't matter. The timeout and ensuing inbounds play reinforced my greatest fear. McMahon's not gonna outcoach anyone in this league.

Hannibal missed an uncontested fingeroll at the rim. I actually like him. He plays hard. But the coach didn't miss that wide open lay up

My sweet child….it took Scott Drew 18 YEARS to win his first conference title at Baylor.

The Baylor admins let him stay on for so long because they had ZERO expectations for the program. If anything, he rode the coattails of Kim Mulkey once Baylor realized they should probably start giving a shite about basketball

That's because of the domination of Kansas in that league since the turn of the century, and before.

Scott Drew has been considered as a favorite for replacing McMahon after his expected dismissal.
