We ran into a team on their best night. This is a Bama win, not an lsu loss. I’m not saying that we aren’t making mistakes and being out hustled, we definitely are, but they are shooting at the most unreal clip that I’ve ever seen.

Idc if we played our best ball ever, we would be down big cuz you can’t compete with a 14-19 3 point performance in a half. That’s unreal. That’s borderline impossible.

I’m not saying that we’ve played a good game by any stretch, I’m just saying it wouldn’t matter if we did.

Nah, pretty sure LSU still gets the loss.

My point is that LSU is getting this loss whether we played better or not. 14-19 beats anyone on any night.

Check this out:

If Bama shoots their normal 34% from 3 then they’d have made 7-19 and 21 points would come off the board. Now I know this is faulty logic cuz the game plays out differently if shots are missed but stay with me.

60-21=39

The score of the game (all else held equal) would be 39-32 at half.

This is just their night.

I mean lets not act like Bama didn't come in with the clear gameplan to shoot as many 3's as possible to take advantage of LSU's mediocre perimeter defense.

Is Bama unrealistically hot from deep? Sure, but some of the blame does fall on LSU's shortcomings.

Agreed somewhat but we struggle defending the 3 and it is biting us in the arse.

We came into the game 27th in the nation at defending the 3. That’s pretty damn good.

Tbh, the turnovers that lead to easy looks the other way are far more worrisome to me than the 3 point defense. These guy just won’t miss tonight.

This is bama’s game plan every game. They shoot like 30 3’s a game. This isn’t some incredible gameplan to take advantage of LSU. This is just how they play.

They came into the game shorting 34% from 3. They may be a good team, but they aren’t this good. They are just hot tonight.

We’re basically playing average and then below average once we started rushing to try and catch up.

the defense, or lack thereof has a lot to do with that. Wade’s defensive “system” this year is dependent on teams missing open 3’s
