Who actually believes this crap? Please post here so we can corporately discount anything else you say on TD.COM.

We have a forced freshman year with a bunch of pick-sixes and bad La. Tech game.

That verses CLUTCH performances against: Auburn@Auburn, TN, Florida@UF, Alabama@Bama and a couple more I can't remember where we have zero shot of winning the game without Lee.

Based on the body of work, I'm more comfortable w/ Jefferson as the starting QB over Lee. He's had some good moments in some games, to be sure. But over the long haul he's been very inconsistent and unreliable.

If consistent and reliable is your criteria, are you seriously promoting Jefferson?

How was JJ more consistent? If it was all JJ last year, we lose at least 4 games

cant wait till next year to finally put these JL threads to an eternal rest. The reality is that both of these quarterbacks leave something to be desired. That is why Im hoping Mett starts the season

delusional. You infer that JJ, who has 27 starts, has been steady and good? Your more comfortable why? What has he done? Don't cite his record with the inclusion of the Bama, Tenn and Florida wins either, cause he did not lead us to wins in those games , JLee did.

Lee made 1 pass worth a damn in the Bama game and led us to victory?

I think both of them played those games. Am I wrong?

People who continue to point to 2008 when Lee was a freshman, as why he should not start (if Jefferson suspended) are just as bad as point who say Jefferson can not improve. Lee has improved in certain areas but yes he still has a gunslinger mentality. I think if he starts he will be fine, LSU isn't losing much/if anything with Lee as the starter.

Neither one of them are consistant at all. JJ can run, JL can't. Advantage JJ.

Lee threw 1 INT in 89 attempts JJ 10 in 220 or so and JJ had 9 fumbles and failed to break 100 yards passing in several games he started and played most of or the entire game. JJ may be able to run better but we do have rb's I would rather the guy who could complete the pass and not turn it over ala Lee last year!

Like the offensive stats the last two seasons, pass completions, receiving, etc? Neither of the two in question have exactly lit things up consistently - to me it's more a "name your poison" choice.

Bottom line is that both JL and JJ are inconsistent. Neither have IMHO in 3 years shown enough consistency for me to feel comfortable with either at the helm full-time. And I think the mix and match over three years has been a testimony to that.

There is no question the biggest road wins since JJ and Lee have been at LSU have been because Lee had significant time under center and led THE drive that won the game.

i have been vocal advocating the theory that JL might be a great practice player and not a gamer. i base the theory on my experiences coaching and playing (albeit a different sport) and seeing a lot of players that fit that mold. it defies explanation but for some reason the player couldn't translate the practice performance to the actual game. it is probably nerves. anyway, i most definately could be wrong and hope that i am. oh, and sec football adds the dimension that the qb could get killed out there. it would certainly unnerve me to know and see 300 lbs guys trying to crush me.
