Bama plays no one to make up ground and have not really beaten anyone. That had one chance and blew it.

Also, we still have the best resume even if we drop one. From here on out bama will fall in the computers and OU and OSU will still be high. There will be no concensus vote for bama as number two. Most of the country hates the sec already. No way they get a concensus to put two teams in

The vote will be split so much in the end that the computers will make up enough for either OU, OSU or Oregon to get in.

Bamas SOS is about to get real shitty

Right now, it looks very unlikely Arkansas passes LSU in the BCS with a win over LSU. If a bunch of other games go poorly, I may change my tune

Agreed.

In fact, the OSU loss screws Arkansas even more. OU and Ok State will both probably have better computer scores than Arky, "wedging them out". The computers could look like this:

1. 11-1 LSU
2. 11-1 Bama
3. 10-1 OSU
4. 10-1 Ok State
5. 11-1 Arkansas

Do you realize how difficult it would be for Arky to get the votes to overcome that? Especially since their mediocre schedule and close losses make them unworthy? Arky would need to be voted unanimously above Bama (who beat them by 24) and LSU

fixed. We need to make sure Bama doesn't slip below Arkansas in the BCS if a 3-way tie happens.

In the computers? I was thinking 6th. But they might wedge their way in there too, further spelling doom for the Hogs

That it is.

But how big of a jump would they get for beating us?

This is THE point. LSU's SOS and wins over OR and Bama TRUMP Arky's SOS.

Unlike some on this board, I have no doubt LSU beats the hell out of Arky.

Bama not only doesnt win their conference but not even their division? out

I believe Oregon loses to USC tomorrow. out

OU beats OkSU..

Clemson runs the table.

LSU vs OU/Clemson for the NC.

where are Oklahoma and Oregon?

Oregon is already ahead of Arkansas in the computers and they play a better opponent this week

I think the Oklahoma omission is probably just a typo on your part, but I think they'll be ahead of Bama in the computers if they beat Baylor this week.

lsumatt, you think OSU has any shot left in hell at getting back into BCSNCG discussion? How's OU look in this, does OSU losing hurt them too much to have a chance as well? I kinda figured either could still technically have a shot but I don't know all the fancy things either.

I wrote OSU twice and meant to put OU. Tough to tell, but the point was there could be a big gap between LSU and Arkansas. Oregon could wedge their way in there too, but would probably would be #6

OkSU is done..No way you can lose to Iowa State and still make it to the NC game..

The real action starts tomorrow after USC knocks off Oregon..

I'm just saying that they wouldn't have to "wedge" in and they're already ranked higher than Arkansas in the computers.

I'm looking at the computers ranking:

1LSU
2OU
3Bama
4OSU
4Oregon
