The Mississippi state loss was by the largest margin in our programs history....record margin.

Never lost to them by 30 points that's the record hes talking about...

Saban lost to UAB, and Miles lost to Miss. St. in 2014. These types of losses were not only not unprecedented in the history of the program (I could point out losses to Colo. St. and Miami (OH) right off the top of my head), they were not even unprecedented in this Golden Age that we are in.

Come on. The loss last year to Miss St. was our worst loss to them in history. And the crappy loss to Troy is in fact the only apt comparison between O and Saban.

We're no longer in our golden age by the way.

that's okay with me, I'd rather be the team doing the hunting than spend ALL season being the hunted.

Also with that said, weren't we picked last in the West either last season or the season before and we proved those predictions wrong?

Also, also...

who even remotely comes close to representing AARON frickING ROGERS on our roster?! No one. So your use of that analogy or instance is ridiculous. He can tell Packers fans to relax because HE is on the team and HE knows what the team can do ...

They are looking at a team that lost it's starting QB, Running Backs, plural, Wide Receivers, and a couple of offensive lineman. Plus we have another offensive coordinator of which is the third in three years. They don't bleed purple and gold and are just taking educated guesses. What possible difference does it make quoting an ugly born loser.

Yeah well, no excuses this coming year. O burned his "UAB" loss last year with Troy. He doesn't get another one this year.

Two years ago, we lost to Wisconsin to start the season

Wisconsin was in the Big Ten Championship game in 2016

Regardless, a football coach can't rest on his laurels; and certainly can't rest on the laurels of two other coaches who will go down as top 5 coaches in LSU history.

My point was that two years ago, we lost an OOC game not unlike the one we're playing against Miami this year. And the reference to the creampuff game was to the USA game we lost because we had to reschedule the UF game because Foley is a dick. My only point there was even losing a sure win like that one didn't cost us an 8 win season.

while I agree with this statement, the OP said we lost the creampuff game against South Alabama to reschedule the FLA game.

You misunderstood what he said. We lost a creampuff because of Florida when their AD wouldn't move the game so they had to reschedule it when we were gonna play our creampuff

Ahh, I see what he's saying now. Could have probably used some additional punctuation. I'll edit my post

8 win seasons are nothing to brag about. Anything less than 10 is a failure. Last season was not a success no matter how much you try to change the narrative.

10 wins is the minimum every year. If 1 year you fail to reach 10 better have a damn good year competing for the west.

And O did both in the same season.

Also you don’t see a difference in the program in 2000 and in 2017?

Hahahaha

Seriously?

The entire reason mcelwain was let go was because he was throwing players under the bus.

A nine win season is now a testament to a coaching staff?

God help us!

Don't worry, they've used the UAB example to death.

I want to see someone try to say UAB again this year. I'm going to lose it.
