After beating the number two team, LSU would be 1 or 2.

Let’s not play into the “everyone hates LSU” pity party. If we were undefeated we would be at least third, ahead of Clemson and ND.

Reasoning: Just before our loss to Florida we were barely behind Clemson (1278-1233) and AHEAD of a 5-0 ND. If we beat a ranked FL and a #2 UGA, we’d easily have made up the 45 point difference considering they scraped by Syracuse.

The media loves winners. Period. When we don’t lose, they love us too.

Either 1 or 2 based on quality of wins to date.

I'm not saying everyone hates LSU, just simply that the four teams ranked ahead are the current darlings of college football.

If LSU was undefeated we would be no worse than 3.
And if we were undefeated on the morning of 11/2 we would probably be #2.

They would have absolutely loved #1 Bama at #2 LSU

Why play this game? Enjoy the season, root for the Tigers and support them going forward.

No. We would be ranked in the top 4 for sure if we hadnt lost to florida, but this team needed that loss to happen, it woke them up. So, I am happy with the position we are in and honestly it wouldn't matter if we were ranked #1 and undefeated right now or #5 with a loss like we are now, because we control our destiny the exact same either way. If we win out and win the sec title game, we are in, the same way we would be if we were undefeated. If we lose to bama, whether we were undefeated going into the game or have 1 loss like we do, we still aren't making the sec title game. It's because I don't see bama losing a game other than to us. So, I honestly would take the experience and lessons learned from the loss to Florida over being undefeated right now, because I believe this team needed that loss to wake them up, and we can't afford to lose to Bama either way. Simply put, I'm glad we lost to Florida in a sense, and got it out of the way so this team could get their heads screwed on right for the rest of the season. Geaux tigers.

In a fair world, #1. In this Bama world, #2. Our resume would demolish Bama’s. Still kinda does.
