The TD to Chark was thrown from the 46 and would've been out of the end zone without the catch. He threw it effortlessly. Can your noodle arm throw it 57 plus yards without flinching? Clown.

That's what I think. But people act like qbs all around the country don't underthrow passes. They do.

I watch a lot more NFL football than college.

He does not have a weak arm. He may not have a Cam Newton or Aaron Rodgers arm, but he can make every throw that is necessary at either level.

He's got a stronger arm than Drew right now, and Drew still has, statistically, the most accurate deep ball in the NFL.

His arm strength is more comparable to AJ McCarron than Andrew Hatch.

It's not eye popping, but it's more than adequate to run any offense.

It's better than Hatch.

I'd say similar to Danny Wuerful.

Which, frankly, in college, is fine.

There was one against MSU where Chark made a great catch about an inch off the ground. That one seemed to hang. And his pick vs JSU was under thrown.

Don't get me wrong, I think he has a decent arm. I just wish he would have gotten more on those throws. Love his decision making and how he keeps his eyes downfield.

Matt mauck or Matt Flynn did not have strong arms and we turned out just fine with them. Etling seems to make all the right decisions with his passes. He doesn't stare down one receiver, he looks through his progressions and he is pretty dang mobile which suprises me. He doesn't have to have a cannon arm as long as he keeps throwing accurate passes and making the right decisions.

He does not have a damn noodle arm. My god.

Please show how Harris' great arm has helped him succeed in cfb.

There are QBs in the NFL with worse arms.

Are there? Etling's arm is more than adequate, but I can't think of an NFLer with a worse arm.

They both had strong arms, especially Mauck.

Without a big step, he threw it 50+ yards to Chark on a go route. That's plenty enough for me..

Jump to 1:48 on the video to see the play I'm referencing.

I'd put money that he has more velocity than Brady right now. Brady had a cannon at one point though.

Then again, Brady is the best pre-snap QB in the game

Matt Stafford
Jay Cutler
Aaron Rogers
JaMarcus Russell
Joe Flacco

They have/had cannons. McCarron has a good arm, just like Etling.

Ehh, I mean I haven't seen a throw from Etling that would really support that assumption. He seems to be more of a finesse guy. Even his out route to Dupre in the 4th quarter was more of an arc rather than a bullet.

He shot-puts some balls up there. But very few QB's are the complete package. I'll take that deficiency with everything else he brings to the table.
