Needs to work on blocking and receiving to be 1st rounder. I bet Dabo plays him longer in games so he puts up crazy numbers to at least get to the Heisman Ceremony.

Schools are paying juniors to stay and buying insurance contracts like Moses at Alabama has.

He would probably be the second or third running back picked, late first or second round.
Really surprising.

Clemson will be in the playoff next year, and probably the natty. He wants another ring.

The insurance policies have mitigated the injury risk, but it doesn't change the fact that RBs with 1st or 2nd round grades should always opt for the draft. Their shelf life is just too short.

How did Dabo convince him to stay

Because Clemson probably win it all next year! Only issue they have is that LSU will be a bad matchup for them again.

Yes, there is no other way to put it but just a dumb decision. His family should be smart enough to know he is being manipulated into staying by people who don't care about his future. At his age with the position is plays he probably has about 8 years left to play football if he is way above the average. You have maybe 8 years to make crazy money, you don't waste one of those in college to play for free and risk injury. It's just stupid.

Makes sense. Only somewhat tough game they have is Notre Dame. Chances at a natty are high.

None of these guys want to leave on a high note or get a title more than getting paid. They getting paid.

Good thing for him, he can take it easy until the playoff.

No kidding.

There are 6 SEC teams that would make the playoffs if schedules were switched with Clemson.

ACC is ruining CFB fairness. Teams should have to EARN a playoff spot not just be talented.

Yeah, how has he kept venables from leaving. He’s been to 4 straight titles and had a top tier defense each year. We have a good year and everything is swept from us.

The difference between SEC and ACC.

This is why Clemson and Bama stay consistent year in and year out...Not saying he shoulda stayed bc i for sure thought he was gone...but its players that are worse than him ranking wise that we lose and they keep...but hey what you gonna do...

Said he needs to work on his receiving ability.

He hasn't caught a lot of passes but that might have more to do with scheme. The biggest knock I've heard is that he has a "slight" build and there are durability concerns. If that pushes him into the 2nd round this year, I can't imagine another year of getting pounded will help his stock that much.

It might, however, help out CEH's position so I'm all for it.

Good for him. Don’t let a championship loss be your last game if you can help it.

Would hope Clyde would’ve come back had we lost.

I can’t believe all you pussies calling it a dumb decision. He didn’t get it done in the ship so he wants to give it another go.

Some people value the stuff that matters - team, loyalty, pride, WINNING - more than the almighty dollar.
