Dude has Florida, Texas and A&M higher than LSU in his too early Top. Each of has more roster losses than our Tigers. I don’t get the fascination with eaTme. Florida loses Joseph and Polite.

I think our evaluations for next season are based on what they think of Joe burrow .i think he has to be looked at favorably if you look at his last few games...

It's impossible to properly evaluate us at this time, considering we don't know whether or not we will have the best LB in the nation on our roster. Not to mention a d end coming off a monster game and a top ten corner in the country in my opinion..

Florida should definitely be higher. They bring back a secondary that finished 13th in pass defense. They bring back their starting QB, all but 2 carries, yes "2 carries" from everybody that ran the ball, and unless somebody stupidly declares early, their top 7 receiving talents. The only downside on offense is losing 3 on the OL.

You saying them losing Joseph and Polite is any different from us losing White and Greedy?

They beat us, also finished 10-3, and they bring back almost as many starters as we do. Of course they should be ranked higher. Florida likely finishes 11-1/10-2 next year playing in the East with Kentucky going back to normal, Mizzu losing Lock, and South Carolina losing the best player on their team.

If Sternberger stays, TAMU brings back everything on offense except for one guard and that beast RB Williams. Now I do think they will fall back in rushing, but I believe Mond will play much better in year two of Jimbo and will make up for Williams's departure. Now most of that defense is gone so I can't say if they get better or worse because of it, but at worse they'll be a 9 win team again that challenges better teams and will probably upset one.

Even though Texas brings back most of their offense, defense is up in the air on what it could be. They could put up crazy numbers ala Oklahoma (not as efficiently though), but that defense might end up being horrendous.

If you are just ranking these 4 teams

UF
LSU
Texas
TAMU

UF and LSU should both be ranked in the top 10 and Texas is a fringe top 10 team.

They are losing 6 juniors to the draft including Jordan Scrarlett so they are losing way more than 2 carries

Sternberger already declared and their defense is going to be really young

Just check the coaching staffs..aside from our DC and maybe a couple of position coaches, LSU is at a disadvantage. There is NO question about that..and there is your answer, so who's the idiot?

Until we score on Alabama, we will not have any respect as a program

Texas played in the conference championship and Florida and A&M beat us.

All three have comparable recruiting classes coming in and veteran QB’s returning. It’s really not that idiotic.

Guess we’re just gonna have to change his mind the old-fashioned way: WINNING.

Just curious, how does that deserve a down vote.

What don't you agree with, whoever you are.

In my mind, i find it impossible to give an accurate pre season ranking for LSU football in 2019. I know greedy is gone, he's not the corner that i was talking about...fullton is a top 10 corner in the nation, rashard is a beast, and Devin is Devin....

Until we know what theese guys are doing, all 2019 pre season stuff isnt worth reading even.

Jimbo is the flavor of the month. They are just polishing his knob until Jimbo gets his arse drug around the SEC and that is coming. To be honest I don't see dramatic improvement, if any over what Sumlin was doing.

Screw him. Screw A&M.

No, they lose a starting DB in Gardner-Johnson. Joseph and Polite were the heart of that run defense and pass rush. Scarlett is leaving as well so more than 2 carries. Oh and they're just losing 3 of 5 OL (60%). We will weather losing White and Greedy. No doubt they are big losses but Queen played very well. And no, they don';t have a comparable recruiting class thus far.

How do you replace a back who gained over 2,000 yards from scrimmage? Sternberger is gone. You already state they lose a ton on defense. Plus, they beat us on a fluke at that their house.

We bring back more starters than any of the three programs Schlabach ranked ahead of us.

The National media still doesn't respect our offense nor do they view O as a coach who can lead a title contending program. Beating UCF in the Fiesta Bowl didn't help either because most felt that LSU should win. It shouldn't be that way but it is what it is.

The win over Georgia should have at least gotten O some respect but that went out the window with how Georgia finished off their season. LSU is simply going to have to go & earn that respect back next season by beating Texas in Austin, not playing close games against inferior opponents & not getting blanked by Bama again in Tuscaloosa. You want respect, go out & dominate the competition & earn it.

you're burying your head in the sand. Jimbo has A&M on the rise.

They went 10-4 this year, with two of those losses to the top 2 teams in the country (and they pushed Clemson to the limit). Other losses were on the road to Miss State and Auburn (and they gave away that Auburn game).

Could've easily been 11-3 with two losses to Clemson and Bama.

And Jimbo has the no. 3 recruiting class so far this year.

I get that you don't like Jimbo or A&M, but if you don't think he's seriously improving A&M, you're lying to yourself.

finally, a rational post, instead of teenagers screaming about media bias.

I can maybe understand the beef with UT, but UF and A&M beat us. Are we really supposed to be outraged some schmuck on ESPN has them ranked slightly higher?
