I'd LOVE for you to lay out exactly how this past basketball season was a disappointment considering the position of the program entering the season, roster we had to work with, strength of the SEC, etc.

I dont think it was a disappointment. Im calling you a hypocrite for considering the variables surrounding the program when deciding if the season was a success or failure.

You are failing to do the same thing for football. Any time i bring up the youth and injuries, its always labeled as an "excuse". You will downplay it until the cows come home. Yet this stuff actually happened. Its documented fact. To say it's excuse just shows bias. shite most NegaO's wont even acknowledge we had issues with this

Yet it if look at our 18-15 basketball record and say the year was a disappointment, you'd get looked at sideways. Try applying some logic towards the football program, too.

From 10-21 to 18-15. I.e. marked improvement.

From 9-3 (Miles' final full season) to 9-4 (Orgeron's first full season). I.e. no improvement.

What point are you trying to get across?

Well when it's used in the context of losing to a Sun Belt team and losing to State worse than we ever have, it's pretty laughable. I'm not saying we should have run the table last year or that the season was an abysmal failure. Again, I'll throw O a bone for avoiding complete collapse after the Troy game. My overarching point is that there was nothing that occurred last season or that has occurred this offseason to give me faith in O or any kind of "vision" or "process" he may have nor that he will be any kind of an improvement over Les.

We already have a sample size. Again, you are simply disregarding what it's telling you and cherry picking your own sample size.

When he fired Canada I was certain that we were dealing with the same Orgeron that coached at OM. Before then I only had a strong suspicion.

I don't know what you expect to happen with him.

See, youre still doing it. You wont even acknowledge it, instead call it laughable

3rd most freshmen snaps out of all P5 schools + your best players(veterans) being hurt = recipe for disaster.

This is pointless. What will it take to change your mind about Orgeron this season?

I'll answer my own question. If he can win 10 games and signs a top 5 recruiting class then my opinion of him and the direction of the program will change.

He made 0 Improvement to either team.

Les just left him a better team that Cutliff.

He’s deficiencies still show.

No idea what he wants on offense. Control freak. Not a great game day coach. No Xs and Os knowledge. Bad game day coaching.

When Les Miles was coach the tag line was “any idiot can win 10 games at LSU”

And he won 9. That’s tied for our third worse record since like 2005. And we played a baby soft schedule.

You're employing a false equivalency here. It's not fooling anyone.

Isn’t it also a fact that LSU football has 85 scholarship players? And only 11 are on the field at once?

Please explain, in your own words, how this excuses 30 point losses to miss state and a loss to a sun belt team

I am amazed at the lengths at which people are going to defend the state and Troy losses after the way Miles was eviscerated for losing to Bama all those years.

Wasn't he in charge of recruitment under the last regime?

That has to be the dumbest argument ever put forth on the RANT.

Do you really believe the Recruiting Co-ordinator makes the decision on which players are recruited and signed?
Did you ever listen to a real coach/communicator explain recruiting.
Saban said, "when a coach comes to me about a recruit, I ask hem where is he going to play. Do you have an opening for him?"

Miles said, when asked about recruiting, I think the fish are biting.

Yes, but his flawed decision making process has been the same in both places.

Well, you're taking the compliments for the basketball program and asking why people don't apply the same logic and compliment the football program.

By the same logic, the football program doesn't deserve the same compliments as there has been no improvement, unlike the basketball program.
