Reminds me of our first BCS MNC. About the same expectations.

All because a bunch of retarded coon asses had some personal vendetta agains Les.
You can't really believe that is the reason Les got fired! He didn't do what he had promised Joe Alleva and F King, and by extension, the BOS, that he would do: change the offense to be more modern and utilize our talent better. He told them after they didn't fire him in 2015 that he would make changes and then we got the same of BS in the Wisconsin game that led to another loss to a team we should have steamrolled.
I like Les but I don't see how anyone other than Kathy Miles couldn't see that Les' offensive philosophy was keeping us from being a contender in the last 5 years of his tenure. So he had to go.
And if Les had this same group of players for 2018, I believe that ESPN would predict that we would go
6-6 just like they did this week.

It really is easy for me to see 6-6. If UF and A&M show any improvement. I think the best we do is 4 losses. I haven't seen much out of Florida or A&M other than money being spent, but they have real coaches and making real moves to be better.
I'm also not just assuming we beat Miss st or Ole Miss or even Arkansas. Hoping we do, if not, then we won't sniff a bowl even with the low standards to be bowl eligible.I think last year taught us to not just expect wins against traditionally cupcake teams.
I was like Ricky last year thinking it was going to be special, now I just don't trust anything I hear. Not until I see the first few games.

This season will come down to a few key areas. First, we will need to stay healthy just like any other year. Next, as we have stated every year, we need a QB who can distribute the ball to our playmakers and eliminate turnovers. Someone in the running game will have to step up to take pressure off of our inexperienced QB's. The kicking game needs to be significantly better. Last, we need to find a CB opposite greedy who can hold his own because he will be tested often.

are you saying that if we beat auburn and wisky in 2016 miles is still fired because he didnt change the offense?
and for the record.....
miles never promised he would change the offense. thats a rant myth.

nope.

we are supposed to steamroll teams that finish the season top 10 and win their division?

he has 1 season in his head coaching career where he had 6 or more losses.

our 2014 team had 4 players drafted and 1 all sec player.
17 different programs had more players drafted thanlsu
our 2015 team had 5 players drafted
6 different sec programs either matched or surpassed lsu
sure a better tactician could have won more with the lsu talent but there is no guarantee that that tactician wouldve been able to acquire all that talent.
there are very few elite recruiters that are also elite game day coaches.

LSU will be far better than many of you Nimrods believe. LSU's talent level is extremely high and LSU's Defense will be one of the top Defenses in the SEC and nationally. LSU will win 9 or 10 games.
Many of you seem to relish in some sort of demented glee that LSU will lose and then for some reason your hatred of Ed Orgeron/LSU can be justified in your mind.
One example of the idiocy and "Doom & Gloom" some of you seem relish in is to not realize the talent Myles Brennan posesses. LSU will surprise you and disappoint you nitwits at the same time. I am looking forward to this board full of dumbasses having to eat Crow.

I think we can all agree it was time to move on from Les (except if Orgeron was to be the replacement), but can we stop with this alleged promise that Les made? He didn't make any promises to anyone about changing his offense, and no one can ever provide evidence that he did.

Fake news Lol, I don't think we go 6-6, it will be better than that.

which would put Ed Orgeron’s future as LSU head coach in doubt.
That's light at the end of the tunnel.
Sacrifices might have to be made.
I'm not concerned with one game or one season, (As the Nut Butter Cheerleader MA's are) but long term stability of the football program. For that to happen, Peas has to go. Most of us are not living in fantasy land and gave a pretty good idea of what's coming up.

It won’t happen, we too good for a season like that. ESPN’s predictions are so off like in 2015 they predicted tennnessee will win the east but what happened?? Yeah so I don’t see how we can have that record there’s too much talent on this team and an aranda defense won’t let that happen!!!

i can provide proof that he publicly told people he wasnt going for a big overhaul.

the people saying Miles was fired for anything other than wins and losses are O sycophants trying justify being ok with O losing 4 games while they bashed Miles for losing 3 games. its that simple

did you see the wisky game?
trying to pass more is why we lost
Harris started the game going 2-8 and basically killing our 1st 3 drives and then threw a mind boggling int to seal the loss

Bull crap...... Miles was fired for his inability to change the offense.....

youve already admitted that if we beat wisky and auburn, miles isnt fired.
thats being fired for wins and losses.
if you want to say his offense led losses then fine but he isnt fired because of his offense. he was fired because we lost to wisky and auburn

if we beat wisky and Auburn would miles have been fired?
we had an improved offense in 2015 when we finished above Ohio state, bama , and fsu in offensive yards per game and offensive points per game. but that didnt matter to you because when miles was the coach what we did against inferior teams was deemed meaningless
