I see nothing about this quote that is untrue. If you don't think it is you are either a huge homer or just don't have a clue.

Meh. I would not call A&M a juggernaut. Your mileage may vary.

A & M is no "juggernaut." You apparently are the one that doesn't have a clue. They have a freak of nature for a quarterback and once Johnny Football leaves A & M, they'll be back to being Aggies; besides, the Longhorns will not be content to being second fiddle to aTm in the Republic of Texas.

I remember not so long ago when LSU was considered a juggernaut. Has the national perception of us changed so very much?

Who's fault is that? The SEC head office handicapped us from the very start. It least it's being acknowledged that our schedule is harder than that of either Bama or A&M.

Since Bama is so great, I would like for LSU to ask for a switch in scheduling for next year since it is only "temporary" according to the SEC scheduling official - Alabama plays Georgia and Florida and LSU gets Tennessee and Kentucky. It's just a "temporary" fix anyway and since they say they are the best, then they should willing go along.

We played them all this year, except GA, and if the passing game would have been up to par, we'd have beaten FL. We beat the Aggies, and but for an end of game issue, we'd have beat Bama.

LSU just doesn't have the political/balls pull that other programs have.

Why don't we? It seems that when Les shite the bed on 1/9/12, we suddenly became somewhat of a joke in the sports media. No sane person will argue that LSU doesn't have the talent it takes to beat Bama or any other team. However, it is the national impression that our coaching is suspect and is what is holding us back. I can't say that I disagree with that assumption.

since when has ATM become a "juggernaut"?

since they got a new coach with a wide open offense and a QB to run it effectively.

They lose some WRs but are recruiting well. Open your eyes - A&M is going to be a threat for at least the next few years.

Okay?! Still doesn't make them a "juggernaut". They have an offense.... but their defense is barely finished in the top half of the country, and that's the best its been the last 10 years. Last team I remember being called juggernaut was the USC team back in 2004-2005 with Leinart and Reggie Bush, and they went undefeated and played in the MNC. A&M has yet to even play in a BCS bowl in the last 13 years. Put things in perspective here, they won the COTTON BOWL. The cotton bowl that LSU has played in with 5 losses, and one time they beat the dogshit out of A&M with low and behold...JORDAN JEFFERSON. Give me a break.

I don't think that A&M will sneak up on anybody next season like they did this one.

Nope, and aren't the Aggies losing a couple of starting offensive linemen?

Likely three loss regualr season. This is based on the fact that we are loosing so many juniors to nfl. I think defense will be ok but not stellar. If OL can dominate then our backs can run and the QB lack of mobiltiy won't be as big an issue so all hope is not lost. Remember USC pre season number one. Alabama in rebuilding year so they were not in the hunt, and oh yes all us ranters myself included figured Mettisaia was the second coming and would lead us to be NC. Unfortunately Sec losses are hard to overcome when you are trying for NC.

Bama, aTm... then,
quote:

We could lose to Georgia or Florida and then sweep the rest and have a shot but I don't see that happening anymore with the offense we have.
And now that the Defense is in full rebuild mode too...

before last year stuart mandel of sports illustrated said LSU had "all the ingredients for a textbook 'flop' team", and...
quote:

"Mark it down here: The Razorbacks will finish at least 10 spots higher than LSU in the final poll."

what actually happened was that LSU went 13-1, finished the regular season number 1, and beat Arkansas 41-17.

heres my point: no one in the media has any idea what the f**k theyre talking about ever.

I figure that, once the year starts, other good SEC teams will figure out how to stop "Johnny Football" and neutralize Texas A&M's offense (just like LSU did this past year). What is really more important, though, is for LSU to do well on defense and have an offense that dominate the time of possession and score many points to offset any offense production any team has (profound grasp of the obvious). Although I am not expecting it, I see the need to hire an offensive coordinator who cannot be predictable. We have the talent--but need the wisdom.

Will ESPN be calling USC a juggernaut again next year?

A&M = juggernots.

ESPN = Juggerheads.

ESPN statistics also said the Minnesota Timberwolves have a 99.7% chance to make the playoffs and Portland a 0% chance before the season started. Their numbers are full of crap.

Uh, Alabama had to rebuild THIS year after losing half their defense from last year to the NFL, and they did ok this year if I recall. With their recruiting, they'll be in the hunt again next year and probably every year.
