re: Tackling vs Trying Strip Ball

Seems like a fair observation. I see it all the time. Tackles missed because of constantly trying to strip the ball. ...

Well said. Our expectations are high to be sure, but it seems like for some, anything less than a NC each year is no good. I am very disappointed with this loss! But, I agree that all or nothing thinking is not accurate thinking. ...

The season is not over. Wake up call to be sure. We can re-focus and beat Bama. This weekend proved that anyone in the SEC can beat anyone. Never know how things will turn out. ...

Don't think we are in a decline. I think we lost because we were not mentally prepared. While I like Les Miles, there is something to be said for a Nick Saban approach that rarely leads to this kind of mental lapse. ...
All of it, except in close games which are still up for grabs in the fourth quarter. ...
This is an interesting post for me. I think back to two years ago when we lost to TN (before we won). I was a nega-tiger at that moment. I was beyond help! Then of course we won, but talk about disappointment! What are we doing!! This year, I felt that way about losing to Bama. Should have beat B...
I am a trained counselor. It is simply disappointment. You could argue that people use anger to deal with their disappointment, but then again, the disappointment is real. The question is, can we feel and grieve our losses (we thought we'd do better this year) without losing hope for what is to come...
We played them all this year, except GA, and if the passing game would have been up to par, we'd have beaten FL. We beat the Aggies, and but for an end of game issue, we'd have beat Bama....
We do this, for sure. It is like we think we are going to trick them or something and it backfires....
If we would have run three running plays, even if we pick up zero yards, and we punt. Good chance we luck out and win. But, the bottom line is, Clemson knew what we would do and prepared for it for five weeks. We did nothing different. They won. ...

It was a great game! Thanks for the props. I hope y'all stomp K-State or Oregon in the NC. I actually like Nick Saban, except when we're playing y'all. God Bless!...
Gary seemed a bit quicker, but the comparison is fair. ...

Quite a contrast in the passing game....

Well said. I like Miles, respect him. Glad he's at LSU but honestly, wish Saban had stayed....
I for one do not know a lot about FB beyond playing it in HS and watching it on TV, etc. I dare say many of us fit that category. ...
You are likely correct. Nothing will change with offense this week. Same deal....
Consider this: Last year, had bad calls against us. Still won. I can see the merit of what you are saying about the calls, but we played so poorly on O. I wish we'd aired it out more before the end of the game but we didn't. Either Mett can thrown or he cannot. I think he can....
Next week ... SC will beat us if the D has to play the entire game. GO TIGERS!!...
Defense was great. Offense was not. In my view, that's why we lost. Shouldn't have been down 14-6 in 3rd-4th Q. ...
