Nov. 21, 1936: LSU ran up the highest point total in school history against the school now known as Louisiana Lafayette. The Tigers are 22-0 against the Ragin' Cajuns in a series that dates to 1902. In those 22 games, LSU has recorded 16 shutouts and allowed a total of just 25 points. The Tigers also romped past the Cajuns 85-0 in 1930.

I thought we all agreed we weren't speaking of "that" day....

Well, you could call 1/9 a blowout but you would be wrong. It was a defensive blowout for sure, but when you can only score 5 field goals and your only touchdown comes in the last 5 minutes you don't have a blowout. Doesn't make it any less sickening though.

ULL needs to man up and schedule LSU. They're 50 freakin' miles apart.

meh.. 1/9's score doesn't accurately reflect what an arse stomping it really was, due to the defense holding them to 5 field goals. If you watched the game minus the 3rd downs in the red zone, you'd think the score was more like 42-0 or more.

ULL has played us recently.

No offense, but ULL would probably do that all day long. It makes them money and any loss is expected (whether fans admit that or not). LSU has nothing to gain by playing a school they should beat that comes in with the little brother syndrome as part of their motivation. The occasional drubbing is fine but year in year out is asking for trouble.
And for the record, I'm a USL(I personally wish they had kept the name USL) alumni but my first year was at LSU and Tiger Stadium on a Saturday Night ruined me for USL football. I still pull for them with the exception of when they play LSU.

Let us not help U.S.L. GET $500,000 FROM L.S.U. The hell with them.
