"OU? when are you guys playing Oklahoma?"
Good one. Ive been seeing that a lot on here. Get it right people. Sounds like Lou Holtz.

Ol Matty hit the nail on the head.

Lee: 18 picks/398 passes (7 as TDs to the enemy) = 4.5% INT
Jefferson: 18 picks/578 passes = 3.1% INT
ok, do you think that these two percentages are statistically different?
Secondly, do you think it's odd that JJ's int total increased each year he was in the program?

While his upside is better, his downside is as lower, or has been in the past. If he is "off" LSU risks becoming one dimensional at the QB position
We don't have many spots to drop for our passing game to be ranked lower than it's been. I would argue we've spent two years being one dimensional, and it's not the dimension one wants from that position.

Lee: 18 picks/398 passes (7 as TDs to the enemy) = 4.5% INT
Jefferson: 18 picks/578 passes = 3.1% INT
Bottom line, Lee is the starter, and if you wanna judge him based on 3 years ago, go ahead. I hope you don't watch the game. In fact, I hope you accidently spill beer on your TV right as the ball is kicked, and all your radios are broken.
Me? I trust the coaches, and feel they have a reason for not naming him starter prior to this. But I will choose to judge Lee based on his more recent accomplishments, for which I...as an LSU fan...am very grateful.

On top of that' when Lee was brought in last year and in '09, it was under some very controlled and limited conditions. Yet he killed us in the '09 Bama game and he struggled BADLY (7/22) against La. Tech!
Yeah cause askin a QB to come in and complete a 4th and 14 on the last drive of the game is controlled and limited....
You forget to mention is game winning drives, or his game winning throw against florida. You say you want a spirited debate but its hard when you're a COMPLETE frickING IDIOT!!!!
Lee threw 2 INT's all of last year, so you can use his freshman year to skew your stats all you want. Believe it or not some qb's can actually get better and throw less INT's a year, where some get worse. Think it over.

What's even more awesome is you linked an ESPN Insider article.
If true, people actually paid to read that.
Funny thing is Oklahoma goes by a dyslexic freaking acronym. They can't even get their own acronym right!

I think LSU's offense has more upside with Lee... but, he worries me more than Jefferson
this is becuase with our defense, we havent had to rely on a lot of offense to win games.
Lee can hand off as well as JJ, and IMO JJs 3.5 y/carry i dont think will be missed too much.

Couldn't agree more with this assessment. I think LSU will be better under Lee than Jefferson.

It's not like he was "trusted" as you so put it. That was one of the shittiest o-lines in years and it was supposed to be Ryan Perriloux running the show, remember? Lee was the ONLY option and he still threw for 2000 yards. If we get 2k yards from him and 10 ints, teams are gonna have trouble stopping this offense...now JL is a senior....end of fricking story.

What ever the outcome...
if Oregon loses, their chances at getting into the BSCCG are almost nil.
However, if LSU loses, then wins the SECCG, their path to N.O. is paved in gold (and purple)

Worst case scenario, if Lee struggles then Mett comes in! I'm pulling for Lee but I feel like Zach can get it done if he has to.

"LSU is better with Lee?'' DUH!!!!!!!! "Take the professor into the back and plug him into the hyperdrive.'' Somebody at ESPN has been reading Tigerdroppings for quite awhile. "TigerDroppings, the No. 1 source for accurate insight, prediction and review to Inside LSU Football from guys who can really sling it from their laps.'' This endorsement is NOT a paid advertisement.

Perhaps if need be, Les can take a page from one of his former assistant's books. Bradley Dale Peveto let the starting QB for the last two years have two series last night before that it was going to be more of the same ole shite, yanking him and putting in a college transfer. NSU won barely, but they won. Scored 24 unanswered points to come back from being down 17-0. Wound up winning 24-23.
If Jarret don't work out, we have one of our own. The question is will Miles use him or stand there with his thumb up his arse?

If LSU can run the ball effectively against Oregon, I believe that will take the load off of Lee and cause him to be more effective when he does put the ball in the air. We must run block like wild. Sounds simplistic, but that's just the way I see it.
I completely agree with you
