How is Washington at 5 and how is Florida State even ranked?

The mainstream either hates us by ranking us low, or it loves us by setting us up to kick some serious (at least relative) arse based on our rankings.

How can you call us undervalued when we don't even know our value?
I hear ya, but its just my opinion.

I totally understand the reasons that others undervalue LSU. But I believe they are way too extreme. I think we are undervalued, but I understand their position. Just dont agree with it.

If it was your job to assess 100 college football teams before fall practice started, what about LSU from a high level would lend you to believe they will have a good team this year?
Totally understand, and understand why they undervalue us. I'm not taking away from that. But I think we are undervalued, nonetheless.
Bad choice of words, "crazy". I didnt mean they were crazy to pick LSU so low. Just meant in general terms, its crazy in general.

Patience, my dudes.
If we are great, the redemption underdog storyline will be great.
If the wheels come off, O gets fired and we try again.
I like where we are, as opposed to 9 win eternity with Miles.

Maybe ESPN watched the bowl game against Notre Dame and concluded no team can improve that much in just eight months.
LSU can either prove them wrong or not.

Good for them bein At 9. When we beat the U, it’ll boost our power rankings
My thoughts exactly. Wish they were ranked even higher.

“Like we were in 2016”
Are you arguing that it’s better to be unranked? If so, I disagree.
Do we still have to win? Of course, but I prefer not having to climb over 25 teams.
Some dislike talking bout Troy, but that L is still weighing the program down and is at least somewhat responsible for the disrespect the program is receiving. imo

That's exactly right. LSU just isn't going to get much preseason love from any objective source.

No they don't. They base their rankings on logic and statistics, not fandom.
Did they hate LSU in 2011 when we were destroying everyone and had us #1 in the power rankings?

There's a higher likelihood that LSU is 1-2 after three weeks than 3-0.
Posted on 8/1/18 at 4:23 pm to lowhound
have you considered we may not be a top 25 team? It is one thing to be positive another to be realistic

Blow out the U. Curb stomp SLU by HALFTIME! and then bitch slap Auburn at Jordan Hare and they will most certainly take notice
Pollack's head will explode on live TV
Herbstreit will look lost
Desmond will just be smiling
If this happens, we will then lose to La Tech

It's crazy how undervalued this team is. But we have the opportunity to prove all the ney-sayers wrong. I really hope LSU comes out slapping teams in the mouth.
When outsiders, and many LSU fans, look at the team, all they see is Henry Winkler as coach in the Waterboy. Until Orgeron wins significant games where he outcoaches some of the chosen ones, this label will remain. Not saying I agree or disagree, but it just looks that way to me.

I'll take our chances against that list, we'll see
