ESPN CWS broadcast, is there anyone worse than Hershiser
You sound like you need an attitide adjustment. You bitch when they don't carry the game and search For something to bitch about when its available on nationwide TV.
When I was your age I was forced to listen on a tiny transister radio, hidden in my uniform pocket as I stood watch in the military.
Hershiser knows what he is talking about and I find him entertaining.

sometimes i just shake my head when they get a fact or a name wrong. but they are better than the FSN anccouners. they did a game at the box earlier in the year and they thought that the train conductor was blowing his horn to let fans know he was listening on the radio. they didn't realize that there is a road right there and he has to blow the horn at railroad crossings.

Get a clue...Hershiser has more baseball knowledge in his little finger than the combined intellect of this board. I just wish he was the pitching coach at LSU. The 'other guy,' by the way, is Mike Patrick who called the Flynn to Byrd td against Auburn.

"LSU's one win away from the title series. It's time to bitch about the broadcasters!"
I think bitching bout "broadcasters" and other mickey mouse stuff only shows the great success LSU has enjoyed of late in baseball and really most sports. The "my glass is 1/2 empty crowd" has to really reachhhhhhhhhh deep to find things to gripe bout.

I like Hershiser and I always enjoy Mike Patrick. Couldn't disagree more with you on this one. They both are very favorable to the Tigers, and both add lots of interesting information.

+1
I thought they did a really good job in promoting LSU. A lot of positive things were said about the players and LSU in general.

hersheiser and patrick aren't bad. I do, however, prefer the Sean McDonough/Robin Ventura combo.
FWIW, as long as they are introducing LSU players next Monday, I don't care how they pronounce them.

Someone who agrees with me, I enjoy listening to Ventura talk about his experience in college world series etc...

I liked when Harold Reynolds did color, but I think he only does MLB now.

I agree, I heard more positive comments about the LSU program PM and the entire LSU roster. Sure don't see how that can hurt!

Ventura seems to talk about Omaha from players perspective, Herisher is good at breaking down why a pitcher made certain pitch etc..
Neither of them are bad at it, I mean we could have Joe Morgan out there, then every game would be watched in mute.

Hah, so I guess you look forward to listening to Matt Millen once again??? What a joke, most of the horrible NFL announcing teams have former players. Big damn deal. Overall baseball announcers are better than the other sports, but they just dont ever shut the hell up, they constantly talk BS nonstop. By XM I mean the XM broadcast of the local teams networks.

The only problem I have with the announcing is the way they sometimes get the names wrong. But for someone who hasn't been around all season calling the games, I can look past it.
My favorite part of last night's calling, was when Mike and Orel were talking about Mike's bowling as a kid and Mike started laughing and choked on his own spit
Not sure exactly where it was at time wise, but I know it was after one of the home runs.
Well, actually my favorite part was when the camera got stuck looking right at Erin Andrew's arse for about 10 seconds

Personally I think he does a great job. Lots of wisdom drawn from years in the majors. IF you don't like him there is always the alternative....................................................Hawthorne!!!

Bring back Harold Reynolds.

I couldn't disagree with you more. I enjoyed listening to O and Patrick.
