In what world is Cristobal more wanted than James Franklin and Lincoln Riley?

I really like the Cincy U Coach, also... not sure how realistic of a chance, but have been impressed with how his teams carry themselves and execute...

I would rather have Aranda than Gundy, even with Aranda's limited HC experience.

And this better not be correct

agreed, they had every chance to fade away vs notre dame but they marched down and sealed the game. i just don't see him leaving the midwest. his son is a freshman on Cincy's roster

Cristobal is basically another Miles/O….great recruiter, former line coach that doesn’t run the offense or defense.

A little more polished? Sure, but all-in-all comes from the same mold of O and Miles…CEO coach that is known as an excellent recruiter but is totally dependent upon coordinator hires.

Cristobal also has something else in common with O…they’ve both been fired from lesser jobs before.

fickell not on the list kind of gets my hopes up...

e--I mean in the sense that if he was just doing this for a raise you'd guess he'd be on the list.

Aint getting the first 4 . They will only get raises because their names are mentioned as possible candidates.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even if he is a great coach who can motivate, do we want another coach who relies on two coordinator hires when we can get a good coach who can lock down one side of the ball?

We absolutely need a coach that can lock down one side of the ball

And that nixes Cristobal from consideration IMO

Out of that entire list Stoops, Gundy, and Napier are the only ones that would realistically leave their current gig for LSU. MAYBE Cristobal as well. People are out of their minds thinking we can lure away people like Riley or Franklin.

This, all day. The great modern coaches call O or D. Relying on coordinators on both sides of the ball leads to problems, especially when you are successful.

I like Cristobal. He is an O-line guy and an elite recruiter. Can't go wrong with any of the 3 IMO. All are better than what we currently have.
