Right. You don't want to piss off your potential candidate by creating a situation that would have them being constantly questioned about another job while they're stioo trying to coach their team.

100% agree. Smoke screen out of respect for the current coach's school and the ongoing season.
I've thought Vitello and McDonnell were the 2 best candidates from the jump...Dan has a crazy buyout, so he's out. Vitello has seen LSU up close, knows the talent we have and the opportunity winning here would present him. He's a shrewd guy, and I do believe he wants the job.
As for SW, who's a bigger splash hire than the best young coach in baseball?

It blows my mind how anybody tunes into Mascona, the guy is a miserable person and doesn't have any connections to LSU except former disgruntled athletes

Eh I will say on football and day to day baseball stuff, he's got sources. Don't think he has anyone inside the AD tho or basketball building.
Whereas Jordy seems to have sources inside the AD, baseball, football, and we all know his source for basketball is Will Wade himself
