Trade for a QB who has run nothing but spread his entire life and has zero experience in the SEC for our best defensive tackle since Logan and best defensive lineman period, since Montgomery? Hell f**k no.

If we are going to trade for a QB I'll take Brad Kaaya from Miami. We'd probably have to throw in Rettig and a WR outside of Dural/Dupre too.

Our QB future is more than bright. Stop being idgits... If Harris bombs, we have a totally viable back-up in Danny Etling. However, with our D#, Special Teams, O-Line, Running Game, I think that Harris is going to be more aggressive than ever. Plus Harris is fully healed from a nagging hamstring. If we loose more than 1 game or even 1 game in the 2016-'17 season I would be surprised...

Plus no matter what QB you bring in at this point or wish for would still have to learn our system.

This year Harris (Maybe next year too), but probably Etling in 2017. Which means we will be starting one if not both of our Redshirt QB's in Lowell and/or Brennan. If one pulls away, the other will play enough to keep them sharp, not transfer, and wait their turn. Meanwhile we finally get a pipeline of young QB's and players coming in willing to redshirt, learn, wait their turn then finally play just like Alabama has been doing. They don't play many True freshmen. However, they play 20-21 year old players with lots of knowledge of their teams playbook, while getting some playing experience along the way, but not enough to letter. While, most other teams are playing 18-20 year old players who just aren't grown up enough and don't have some game experience.

We have had better talent than most teams, maybe all of them, but we insist on turning out NFL players instead of playing college ball. By no means do I mean wearing down good players then sending them to the NFL to get crushed, like at certain team that starts with an "A". That's why we have so many young players coming here, but they must realize the paths most of the really successful players took. Redshirt, learn, some game experience, then finally the nail in the coffin, starting or having significant roles on LSU's team, with all that on their resume, so to speak...

Sorry for the drawn out Rant!

Would this Baylor guy be okay with our no rape policy?

And no, I don't make that trade.

LSU trades for Baylor's Compliance Department. LSU gets Perrilloux and Mathieu back for one more year.

I haven't seen them claim this profession often. They are in the Entertainment business.

I don't get it. People still think this is simply a lack of QB talent issue. The problem is not QB talent, it's development, system implementation and overall offensive scheme. In short, Miles continues to try to force a square peg into a round hole. He loves 'dual threat' QB's, yet runs a system that doesn't allow that type of QB to use his athletic ability (I.e. 2 TE, I formation). 2014 was a shining example, it was painfully obvious Jennings was not a pocket QB, instead of putting him in some spread situations and allowing to use his athletic ability, we stubbornly put him in positions that he was not comfortable or able to succeed.

Absolutely! You people are crazy. That qb is good. A D lineman for a qb? All day long. Of with the football knowledge on TD it's no surprise all the down votes. Lol..

Bad logic. Harris would probably blow up in Baylor's system. The problem is Xs and Os, not Jims and Joes.

Texas Tech had the number one offense in the country coming out that conference. It's the level of competition.

In theory it is not a bad idea. The idea is to have a guy that can drop back and if all else fails he can scramble and run like a Matt Flynn type. You can't teach athleticism to a guy that is a good pocket passer but can't run but you can teach an athletic person to be a pocket passer if they have the natural tools like Harris. The problem is it takes time do those things and LSU has had to start guys that haven't had the time to learn. I think Harris will be better this year. Will he be improved enough to help lead this team where they can go? only time will tell.
