I wonder if he realizes how he comes across sometimes

We won, but it wasn’t because Mullen was “outcoached.” We won because of three turnovers, and an idiot deciding to throw a shoe at the worst possible time.

He blamed the offense....BUT he did not control the clock very well on LSU drive. He did not run ball to center of field before last FG. Gave kicker a funky angle into the fog which he missed wide left.
Piss poor coaching by Mullen!

O needs elite Coordinators on both sides of the ball to be successful.
O has the same Offensive Coordinator this year as last year.
If LSU had the same players this year as last year we would have at most 1 loss.
Last night that LSU team was young, talented and hungry.
We have actually lost 3 games that we easily or should have won MISS St, Missouri and A&M.
We didn't and that's sports and sometimes a fine line between victory and defeat.
Most years we win 10 games or so mainly due to superior talent and depth. This year our talent was depleted and lacked depth. I like what our young players did last night and looking forward to next year

Yeah that guy sucks. There is no coach I enjoy watching lose more.
I can think of one

Don’t agree with the “outcoaching” argument. Our players won this game with sub-par coaching. LSU’s players played their hearts out and won this game, despite some shitty play calling. It seemed that many times the OC was channeling LM and playing not to lose.

He wasn't out coached. They gained over 600 yards. Minus three turnovers and a shoe toss they win the game.

I hate Florida and everything about their program. With that said, I would trade coaches today
frick that. Mullen won’t stoop to doing the work to be a big-time recruiter. He thinks he’s smart enough that he doesn’t have to. And he will NEVER give up control over the offense.
There are other coaches I would take over either O or Mullen personally, but you are seeing Mullen’s ceiling right here. This was his year. He had a great QB, a couple of real playmakers and a veteran team. He also had UGA without a QB and in a rebuild year. And he still fricked it all up. UGA is out-recruiting him 2-1 and they look like they have a QB now. They will be a lot better next year and UF will start falling behind them.
O’s basement is a lot lower than Mullen’s. However, with the right guys around him, he’s proven that he can make a run and win it all. He isn’t going to frick up the offense or defense if the OC and DC are doing their jobs. If I had to choose between them, I would choose O. If I could choose anyone, Mullen wouldn’t be top fricking 10.

we clearly didn’t do better than Mullen
For all of O’s many flaws, I will take him and his baggage and the hardware he brought us over that self-important frick who hasn’t accomplished shite beyond one East title and a beat down coming to show for it. His recruiting will never get them back there and he isn’t going to change.

Mullens’ problem is and always will be lack of team discipline. His players do very retarded things. Sometimes they get caught and sometimes they don’t. His MSU teams started that trash behavior later in his tenure. (Dillon Day C using LSU players chest as a trampoline)
I mean how can you respect your coach lecturing you and disciplining you on unsportsmanlike trash play when the HC is a trash arse individual?
TLDR version: Mullens is a POS and so are his teams

They had some success running the ball, but he kept abandoning it. They went away from throwing to Toney until the last two drives. They gave up a chip shot FG on the first drive and got nothing. He sat his best player, who made it very clear that he could go, because he KNEW he wouldn’t need him.
And say what you want about his last decision, but he could have let our kick team scramble out there and kick under heavy clock pressure. He choose the conservative way out to save time for himself and lost the shot at OT. We’ve never really been known for clock management and he bailed us out. It’s a much tougher play to execute as well with everyone trying to beat the clock. Kickers have routines, just like players shooting free throws in hoops. He would have had to just run on and kick with less than 22 seconds left.
Mullen made plenty of mistakes last night and he definitely contributed to the loss.

Who is it that you are thinking of? Could it be a guy who could easily be nicknamed "Shorty"

Again, we can do better but as a binary choice, O loses that argument everytime
O has a national championship,Mullen does not. O is WINNING by a mile.

So u don't believe O needs elite Coordinators on both sides of the ball to be successful?? If not, we're watching two different LSU teams.

That big dough boy does know offense, but he is a master of cliche, smart arse, and unlikeable. He is Butch Jones with better skills at running an offense.

Sure he does. But he also understands that recruiting is more important than people thinking you are the smartest man in the room. I will take an OC who’s better and O letting him do his job over Mullen fricking up a great season because he won’t stop doing the same stupid shite he’s done since his first year at State.
Again, if we are talking about people to replace O with, Mullen shouldn’t be in the top 10. He would not work here.
