I think he saw the writing on the wall. Maason Smith has a hammerlock on one of the spots and Bryce Langston probably for the other one, not to mention Joseph Evans. Also Logan and Farrell this year.

You hate to lose quality DL, but there wasn’t much chance of him seeing the field at all this year and probably next either. At best a rotational piece.

Premium board said it's academics related, he isnt even in transfer portal.
I thought it was depth chart related too, but if he's not even transferring anywhere right now, definitely goes beyond that.

The difference being Bama never has an issue having 85 scholly players on their roster. We have like 78-79 right now I think, granted we cant have more than 81 anyways.

I always wondered why the processed Jalen Lee rather than Taylor!! on paper they were about equal with Lee being the local kid!! I may be partial being as I know the Lee's but I never understood keeping Taylor
