No one disrespected the country get that straight believe what you desire this had nothing to do with disrespecting the country . That is just an excuse of ignorance from people who are brainwashed.

Why? Is there a better reason Reid hasn’t been signed yet?

If my workplace productivity was no longer what it once was and I was bringing negative attention to my company by bringing up politics, I would be let go immediately.

There's on room for politics in the workplace. If he wants to make a stand, do it on a stage that people are expecting to see it on. Hell, ESPN can pull together all the kneelers and have a 2 hour show bringing attention to their million dollar struggles. Jemele Hill can host it.

Like how are you saying on one hand that it’s because of concussions and then turning around and saying his actions have consequences?

I agree with this. But at the same time, it comes to a point where he needs to accept that what he's doing is controversial and when it's coupled with his concussions and the fact that he's not getting any younger, maybe teams just don't think he is a worthwhile investment.

He's such an idiot. When your own fans don't support you anymore Eric, you might want to rethink things.

It's also an un-winnable case, so I hope you enjoy blowing what you have left on lawyers.

The 49ers offered him a one year contract, but he turned it down. I understand that he wanted a long-term contract, but the safety market this offseason has been really soft.

Add in the fact he has a history of concussions and it's enough that they aren't even sure he'll make it through a season.

How do you not get that there are many factors that go into the decision to employ someone? The negatives outweigh the positives for anyone to offer Reid a contract at the moment. That doesn't equal collusion. Take off the purple and gold glasses.

ETA: I love that you're downvoting facts because you're bothered by them.

What kind of case does he have if he was offered a contract and turned it down?

Hard to give Reid a tough time over this when he was a huge reason we beat Alabama in 2011.

If you spit in the grass at work everyday and someone called you out on it and said that it as disrespectful, you weren't being disrespectful. You were just doing something without a known fallout. If you continue to do it, then you're knowingly being disrespectful

Most people understand what the intention was, it's the delivery that people take issue with.

The anthem in sports has long been a pretty sacred type thing, "protesting" during it was never going to be looked at lightly.

All goes back to if a large group is offended by an action, and the offending parting doesn't understand why, generally speaking the offending party isn't well educated about what they are doing.

FWIW - I think both sides to this are idiots. People protest everything now and people get offended by everything now, it's dumb. the bottom line here is he did offend a large number of people in a business setting so OF COURSE he's going to find it much harder to find employment in said business.

No, just like Kaepernick.

You turn down money, this is what you get.

You refuse to stop protesting, this is what you get.

Nobody disrespected the country.

Thank you for saying this and it's exactly right. Perhaps at first they didn't see as disrespectful. But once 90% of the people saw it as disrespectful, and you continue to do it, then it IS DISRESPECTFUL.

Well, you've proven to be pretty biased in how you're viewing this, so that's not surprising.

Reid has a right to free speech and expressing his beliefs and opinions but employers have a right to not hire him.

Not shocking that teams don't want to hire someone who draws bad publicity and distractions to its team. This isn't difficult to understand.

Some of our fans have a difficult time comprehending this
