Everybody concedes his right to say whatever he wants. It's America. Once he says whatever Race Grievance Industry slogan he wants to say, people are likewise free to react. The comment was more about constitutional rights. I used “patriotic” because that is the word constantly thrown around by certain people who think anything other than right to own a gun is unpatriotic.
