The only call I was really frustrated was with the QB designed runs.

Burrow has more vision than speed.

The thing that concerns me me most is the inability to scheme to make things easier on Burrow.

Our WRs don't seem to get open much, not sure why. But a good coach should scheme to get guys open. You see it every game with Bama, Ohio St and a ton of other teams. They have guys wide open often and the game is so much easier for their QBs.

Fwiw, we had some of that the past couple of seasons under Canada. But so far this season, I'm not seeing it.

Yep, he doesn't create mismatches. Its fine, but it has limitations. And its not as good as you can be. But it was enough today, and will likely be enough most of the time, when coupled with a good defense.

Well why was there all of this talk about hiding the offense up until this past week?

Play calling is only half the job. Play design is the other half and this is E's biggest flaw.

If Foster Moreau doesn't play like he's 150 instead of 250, one of Burrow's runs would have been a big first down.

Tory Carter needs to be the lead blocker as much as possible.

Only question I have is does he have anything left going forward or did we empty the clip to get this win?

Yea Joe had a big hole on that play and that LB blew by Foster with a less than stellar block.

100% agree.

I was against hiring him and he called a good game.

Better execution and less penalties and we win by 10+.

Steve had series where he did. But from about midway thru the second quarter until the second series in the fourth he looked lost. We had a ton of success moving the ball spreading it out with quick hits in the first. And then we seemingly abandoned it and went back to trying to get 50yd completions on every pass. Went back to it in the fourth and had success again.

Sooooo not allowed to discuss things objectively at this point?

I know that's not a lot of people's strong point. My apologies.

The screen passes were frighteningly bad. It's a great tool when properly executed. Need to work on it all week.

Some of the designed runs would've gone for more if people stick with their blocks or didn't whiff. Not all of E's calls did I agree with, but I thought he did ok with a new qb and changes in O personnel.
A lot to work on, but even my auburn buddy said E called a pretty good game. (He never compliments us)

You asked a dumbass question

Say we did how would any of us know at this point in the season?

If we didn't then...we didn't.

See? Dumbass question

Haughtiness, i will respectfully disagree.

Tendencies of both LSU offense, and the opposing defense are up to the analysts to compile. Obviously, Coach E must put into use what they say, but it starts with the analysts.

Know the defensive tendency, be aware of your own tendencies, adjust = winning.

One of my critiques of the OL... sustaining blocks.

I think in some cases they are releasing to get to 2nd level too early not realizing that they are still in the radius of point-of-attack.

I dont know how many people noticed the importance of the game flow. In the first half we were on the brink of breaking Aub’s defense. It was hot as hell and no shade on the sidelines. We had 34 off plays to their 17 and their defense was gassed and overheating. Then all the sudden they pulled off two extended drives and gassed us to close the half.
I felt this was why O called the fake punt. He did not want our d to be on the field for another 80 yd drive
