There's been two times all season it hasn't worked

We have executed small ball at an extremely high level. Better than any LSU team in recent memory. One of those times, the 1st basemen made a hell of a play. The other time was just now.

We usually can’t bunt worth a damn but we have been doing a good job this year. You can’t miss the sign. That was boneheaded.

Well you don't run it w/a guy that runs a 12.3 40yd dash.

Believe it or not I used to take a few swings in college 40 years ago (different game) but we were coached where both hitter and runner confirm with some signal that they BOTH acknowledge the squeeze or sac bunt.
Times have changed I guess (although coach didn’t look happy.
Just saying

I’m sure the bunting advocates will have some excuse blaming Stansfield or something but they will never ever ever remember plays like that when attacking people who understand math and explain bunting is stupid

Usain bolt could have been running. It wouldn't work if you don't bunt.

Agree….Todd Walker said it himself. Jay is willing to give up fielding for 1-9 pure hitters. So we bought some good bats this year, let them hit! No need to act like you’re teaching these guys something with squeeze shite at home. Do they do it in MLB much?

Stanfield has proven to be a good bunter. He missed the bunt sign..

He missed it plain and simple. No problem with the squeeze right there. You are up 2-0 and your trying to get another run across to make it 3-0. I don't care if Hernandez was the runner at 3B neither. Jay managed this game beautifully. Braswell's bunt was excellent he is by far the best bunter on the team

Agree completely. And the morons who say we suck at "small ball" must not be watching many games this season

We have used the bunt alot this season. We have some guys that can bunt. In years past not so good but this year its been pretty damn good. Braswell is the best bunter hands down.

Braswell, Curiel, Dickinson, & Stanfield have all proven that they can bunt. There may be more, but those are the ones that stick out to me.

Curiel is probably the best hunter, we just don't try to bunt with him because he's hitting 405 . He will occasionally try to bunt for a hit to beat the shift but he's getting junk pitches when it's called. Dickinson can bunt too but he hits the ball and hits it hard so he doesn't get many bunting opportunities

Was it Tuesday night or last weekend that Stanfield also missed another sign?

Coach needs to make sure his head is inro the game when he calls something like that. Make Stanfield confirm he saw it somehow.
