Despite the overreaction from media and fans, this season is not lost. Yes, of course, you'd like to win the first game and build on that going forward.

The calls for Kelly's job are ridiculous.
The threats made toward players & their families are ridiculous.

CBK showed up and took ownership of a sub-optimal situation and is trying to get things back on the right track. The team will rebound, the coaching staff will adjust and the wins will come. Starting this weekend.

Too many LSU fans are blinded by 2019, as brightly as that season shined, y'all can't hold every LSU team to THAT standard. Especially not a team with 15+ transfers, a coaching staff that introduced all but one new assistant to these players, and a culture that was in shambles.

- Nick Saban went 8-4 in his first year at LSU and 6-6 in his first with the Gumps.

- Les Miles blew a 21-point lead to Tennessee in his first year at LSU

- Coach O lost to Troy in his first year as full-time head coach

Relax, enjoy the build. The view from the top is nicer when you're patient.

TL;DR version: Relax and enjoy the ride.

When people bring up worst losses(personally) I bring up two.
1. UfrickingAB
2. Monday Night vs Tennessee.

I hate you for reminding me of that game.

those hurt a ton, for sure. Some that spring to mind for me are Troy in '17, MooState '14 (Dak Prescott's coming out) and Alabama in '12 (which coincidentally is the greatest atmosphere I've ever experienced in Death Valley, and I was at all the other landmark games as well)

On paper, yes, but actually, that Miami of Ohio team was fairly good. They finished the regular season 8-3 and went bowling back when there weren't so many bowls. They were a good mid-major.

Interesting fact: That victory over LSU made them 8-0-1 against the SEC.

I was a kid then and only remember my dad being mad as hell about it and yelling at the radio.

Gonna be a long season, especially for anyone thinking that we should be dominating games with this lot of players and with all the new coaches involved.

I think we'll be back to playing better football at some point this season, but it would not be shocking if we lost the majority of our conference games.

Remember they did a fricking Gigapixel thingy of the whole stadium? It was during a TV Timeout just before Dak scored on us again. The entire stadium was in disbelief/disgust.
It's still available. Go look at the thousands of pissed of LSU Fans. I'm one of em!
Gigapixel from LSU vs MSU during a TV Timeout while getting our shite pushed in

I'd put my drunk, pissed off exploits after a loss up against anyone (I sliced the tip off my left thumb slamming down a drink glass [use plastic now] but the players and their families are out of bounds.

I could see Nabers when he came to the bench after the second muff and the kid was crying. Lots of players came over and said something which was nice to see, They are doing their best and we forget that.

Relax, don't do it
When you want to come
Relax, don't do it
When you want to sock it to it

we've all done stupid stuff after a loss before, I get it.

saw that as well, in particular saw Boutte spend some time with him which gives me hope that he isn't checked out on this team.

99% of people who get pissed about players making mistakes are people who have never been or will ever be in physical enough condition to do what these kids do...so their gripes hold no weight at all

It's going to be fun. Obviously I wish we had winning seasons the last two years, but these few down seasons is just going to increase the fanhood once the program is back where it should be. Tiger Stadium will be a feared place again.

Keep in mind that LSU would go on to win the SEC outright that year.
