Yeah it's very embarrassing to lose a baseball game. All of our championship teams went undefeated so the season is definitely over.

The loss isn’t embarrassing, it’s baseball but almost getting no hit by fricking Omaha is concerning

There's always days like this in baseball though. If it becomes a trend then it might be concerning. But in one game or even one weekend where the hitting struggles I don't think it's time to press the panic button.

People say oh but it's Omaha. Sometimes we see guys struggle hitting pitching of some of these lower tier teams because it's not the same level of pitching they are used to seeing. They are used to seeing our pitchers who are pretty damn good and most have excellent velocity. Now you see some lower tier arms with much lower velocities and it can really throw your timing off and you struggle.

Ehh. Being evenly matched with Omaha over two games isn’t a great sign.

Exactly. Every team has a bad game occasionally. But to have back to back games come down to the wire against an inferior opponent is alarming.

I was mostly embarrassed, besides the lack of hitting, by how we allowed the 7th inning rally.

* 2 hit batters
* Pick off attempt thrown into CF
* Larson trying to throw a runner from 3rd base out at home on a basehit to LF.
* A passed ball that scored a run
* And I think there was a walk somewhere in there too!

It really is hard to be an LSU fan sometimes with all the idiots who are clueless of sports always demanding to fire coaches. It’s so exhausting

ITS frickING BASEBALL YOU IDIOT. THE WORLD SERIES CHAMPION LOSES 60 games a season.

I really don’t understand the reasoning of bringing in 2 guys in that pitched yesterday when there are better arms in the pen.

Is that acceptable?

Is what acceptable? Being held to 4 runs? It’s not ideal, but again it has happened to every team in the history of baseball. So either you deal with it or stop watching because you don’t have the emotional stability for it lol.

We have days like these against poor pitching every year

Your right but its normally against a southpaw with a really good breaking ball we just cant locate or a weird arm angle righty with a good change up. Not dudes throwing 92 mph, belt high fastballs we pop up 20 times. The last lefty they brought in had a really good slider but that was the only plus stuff pitcher I saw.

I will guarantee that each SEC baseball team will have at least 2 “bad loss” games before SEC competition begins.

No one is going 26-0 in non conference games.

Skip’s teams didn’t lose under 11 games per championship seasons.

We started this season just eight days ago.

You guys are the ones who are embarrassing. Just don't watch, you don't understand the game anyhow!
