I don’t want to commit until I know how many of our five tickets we’ll be able to use AND I don’t want to be in the upper decks. I like 419!!
Which brings up another issue - let's say you're in the South Endzone with a $250 donation level per seat. If they stick you in the West Upper where there is no donation required, will they refund your donation?

I’m going to guess on the top half donors are getting seats this year. Tickets will be harder to get due to electronic transfers and 50k seats will be empty.

My season ticket account consists of 4 separate individuals. What if some want to opt out and some want to go to the games? Or is it all in or all out?

They should have followed the NFL model. Tell season ticket holders you can either refund your money or apply it to next year.
The donation thing is nice, not sure how much it will be used.
Saints are not requiring a deposit, at this time, to hold seats for 2021 if you get a refund for 2020. I'm sure at some point in the future, probably early next year, they will want some money. It's pretty damn greedy of LSU, in my opinion to demand a non-refundable deposit NOW.
I'm surprised Woodward signed off on that. That's a Joe A move if I ever saw one, and I thought we were past that.

Its safe to say that if you didn’t get national championship tickets through LSU, you have no shot at getting your season tickets this year.

And likely some that did

OPTION THREE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Option 2 can blow me, I’d rather you not hold my money interest free for a year.
This typically would be the correct answer, however, there are other things to consider. It appears the 2021 renewal will start in November. So, depending on the start date, that is only 3 or 4 months of interest. The non refundable deposit may be more than the interest. LSU is getting its money one way or the other. So, Option 2 may be the best.

This option 3 deposit must be substantial if we’re not being told now the amount. All this after they’ve held my seat contribution all spring and half the summer. But what kind of games will we be seeing? I can see the news article now—two days before the Alabama game some player tests positive and 30 of his locker room contacts have to quarantine. This could happen to Alabama or LSU. What is that game and your ticket worth at that point?

where is the option for when the fall 2020 season moves to Spring?

True. But I would imagine the majority of those top donors are also older and thus, more likely to choose to stay home.
I'm conflicted at the moment as to what I want to do. I expect to get at least two tickets because of my TAF number (we always get at least two tickets to bowl games, national championship, SEC champ., etc). Part of me says do I really want to pay FULL price to attend a half full (at best) Tiger Stadium? More specifically, FULL price for an atmosphere a fraction of what it normally is? I can watch every game from home. The reason I choose to attend in-person is to get the atmosphere I can't get from home. Without that, is the price worth it?
However, it might be kind of nice to not have to deal with crazy traffic, limited parking, and some of the obnoxious assholes that sit around me. In some ways, it might ALMOST be like watching from home (room to spread out. Easy access to the bathrooms). I get to watch the game in person, only with a little more comfort that comes from not being crammed in with 90k people. Plus, with the SEC only schedule I don't have to sit through shitty games vs. the likes of UTSA or Nichols. And, with the late start, the majority of the home games may have really nice weather (i.e. no early Sept hotboxes)

I thought I was safe until I realized that at least post season tickets were limited to specific sizes. Some people have literally 12 or more season tickets. Tons more people have multiple allotments.

Student players and coaches are being called on to risk their health and lives so that LSU can make money off of football. I won’t have any part of it. I remember when President Kennedy was killed LSU announced the Tulane game would be played several days later and how President Kennedy would have wanted that. My dad was so mad he said he hoped the lights would go out. We’re at another one of those moments.

Uhhhhmmmm, I'm pretty sure that when they refer to it as a "deposit" they mean that it will be applied against the cost of the tickets. It's not a "fee" for holding your tickets that you will then have to pay full price for.

I think they may hit you for another processing fee or something for option 3.
And they want money in November for next year anyway like op said..
Remember back when they asked for full payment Very early this year and we were all going ?????
I think they were already on a path to start getting money in November for next year and spreading out the money collection even wider to have operating expense funds coming in...even before covid...
I am doing option two ...I think option three will cost you more in the long run....

Top donor here! We are OUT! We will not be held hostage. Just wait till they take the field with their BLM logo on their shirts.

Probably the entire damn TAF fee.

Thanks in advance from those of us who 1) aren't hysterical reactionary idiots; 2) are younger and trying to work our way up the philanthropic point rankings to get decent season tickets.
