This is a statement to his fan base that he’s gonna try and get the best assistants from around the country and it doesn’t matter where they are he’s gonna at least make an attempt. If they turn him down it’s no big deal, but it shows there fans he’s at least willing to try.

New Coach went after a good OC, not a bad move. Has more to do with that then it does with them being obsessed with LSU.

Bold strategy for a program that just spent $75M to admit they made a bad hire, now starting over from scratch and losing recruits and possibly players to the program you are trying to stick it to.

I give a lot more credit to Coach Sloan for developing JD. CBK needs to give HIM a raise and extension. We’ll find out a lot more about Denbrock next year. He was meh last year with JD and never really developed the play calling to his strengths. Denbrock is a good OC but I ain’t calling him elite just yet. Give him a raise but I’d hold off on a big extension until after next year.
Oh and Davis needs to develop the run blocking by this OL. LSU is gonna need to run the ball next year and that was this OLs weakness this year. Sure the stats are skewed only because of JDs feet and speed. That 1100 yds is gone.
