That offense gelled and improved, finishing in top 50 iirc.

Jarrett Lee was becoming a more integral part of the offense, and the tandem of Lee and Jefferson, an impressive backfield, and top notch receivers eventually restored LSU into an offensive force by about the sixth game of the season, vs Florida

That bowl game was just basically Fournette running all over Texas Tech.

Yep.

Largely, the story of that game. Tech had no defense.

Coach EdO lost to Troy.

Yet here we are 3 years later and still haven't won game 1 of ANY season BK has coached...His only "marquee" victory is an overtime 2 point lucky catch winagainst probably the worst Bama team in over a decade...Oh yeah..in year 3 I believe...Coach O brought us Joe Burrow and a natty...let's not forget to credit him with that...Coach O didn't leave us in as much of a bind than Woody did He couldn't keep the players here after he fired O and BK didn't retain those assistants whom he rehired and are currently killing it in recruiting...BK thought LSU recruited itself and he's found out otherwise!!!!

and yet Tech was only down 8, late 3rd quarter, and drove into our red zone. But their QB threw an interception and we rolled from there.

Who was that QB? Patrick Mahomes.

I remember he was a freshman in that bowl game and I said to myself that this guy was going to be something.

It just goes to show that things can improve between the fourth game and the twelfth game.

I was on vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine admiring the beautiful view from atop Cadillac Mountain when my phone started blowing up with this news.

Lee was better in 1st 6 games and pretty dismal season after that, like 10/25 with brightspot a couple nice plays vs Bama.

At first I thought this was good news…until it became clear who was orchestrating this behind the scenes

Who, and don't tell me O. Woodward was not a fan of O's and never would be. Les got Les fired because he refused to revamp offense, plain and simple.

What does Woodward have to do with it?

And yes O and Ponamsky were plotting this one for a minute.

Are you really asking what Woodward has to do with firing Miles and hiring an interim coach?
