I was commenting on the hate the promise of change part of your contribution. I don't buy that promises of change are buying any goodwill with anyone. As you said earlier, he was nowhere near the hot seat entering this season. Those that are skeptical are going to be skeptical of production regardless of whether or not a change was promised.

I want a coach that when he's hired in 2016 comes in with a firm vision of what he wants on offense and sticks to the plan, not one that's all over the place. Is that unreasonable to you?

didn't you want O hired and then changed your mind...you didn't have a firm vision of who you wanted as a coach.

this doesn't make it the offense we want for LSU going forward. At least it wasn't the offense I want to rely on to beat bama maybe Canada's offense was what you wanted

anyone with any reading comprehension skills can tell that almost all of your post and goldrush are usually full of negativity about O and the offense. There are more reasons to be excited about the offense than to be negative right now. You can make all the negative comments you want and I can comment on them...this is a message board.

I know you think it's ABSURD to think that a team could emphasize short passes and working on screens more with only like 5 months to prepare but I guess I have more faith in the staff than you.

how do you know they didn't. It's really funny that yall think that would have made a difference against Bama. Bama was owning us with 4 dl. Everyone wants to mention Clemson when talking about the offense we need to run against bama...newsflash Clemson killed bama with deep balls.

no doubt.

Roger it's easy to change offensive philosophies in a year...according to 2006 goldrush and a few others

So O's offensive vision is so grandiose that it take 2 years (EDIT: 3 years) and 2 quasi-offensive coordinators to properly implement it?

O definitely fricked up with how he handled Matt. My lord woulda loved to see burrow in that offense. however whether it is run first or pass first with spread concepts both can work and excel. I just pray his roll of the dice works and we can turn chicken shite into chicken salad and brady bails him out. we want the best for LSU.

ARE YOU READY FOR BRADY BALL?

I think he is looking for a balanced attack and the ability to dominate an opponent through the air or on the ground. If a defense shuts down one we will be capable of winning with the other

You’re proving my point. In this very thread I’ve had positive things to say about the offense last year and the offensive staff, including Ensminger. All I’ve said is that I’m not convinced O has a firm long term vision of what he wants for an offense for his program. That in no way means I don’t think the 2019 will have success. If you want to interpret it that way and make me out to be some kind of eternally pessimistic “basher” there’s nothing I can do to stop you.

Appeal to accomplishment fallacy. You're losing the argument so you throw this out there to stifle discussion. Stay on topic brother.

No, you are mistaken.

I believe when he was first suggested as HC I said "under no circumstances."

Then why were people saying the offense (I'm sure you were one of them) was going to be so good last season?

JOE BRADY'S offense

Burrow said in an interview that the WR have learned/are learning how to read a defense pre-snap. That's Brady thing. I think just from a coaching and teaching perspective, this Offense will be a lot more prepared to adjust mid-game.

Not saying it was the offense I want, but at least it was able to score on Bama, unlike E's. We would've scored more if Etling had somewhat of an arm.
