One small addition, implied in the post, but to make explicit, constructively CRITICIZE in private.

Quite possibly one of the worst narratives and a prime example of the policy of personal destruction on the internet that I've read on these boards, after being on here for 15 years and reading a lot of bullshite and false narratives.

Just a caveat, this is a good motivator for some people, but it isn't for others...
Do you think the D players would've stepped up if they weren't criticized publicly for their play vs. OM?

Maybe, some of it is internal?
Shame is a solid motivator sometimes...if the target accepts responsibility

Awesome.

I want to add one more.

...and always do right by others.

You see all the great people that want to be around CEO? Guys like Robinson? Thats because of the above.

Treat people right and they will always want to be around you and help you. And its exponential because they will they their friends and those friends will tell their friends and so on.

It's a shame that some can come on here and just bash the HC for any wrong move but yet not be man enough and praise the guy that coaches the team they say they root for.

Ricky has also said he could have done just a good a job as O in 2016.

I 100% agree with you about the false narrative.
Coach O has never been a shrimp boat captain. Hey shoveled shrimp at a shed in Golden Meadow (I think that's the one) between his time at LSU and his going off to Northwestern at the behest of his long time friend Bobby Hebert, the Cut Off Cannon, LOL.
