Intro: Spread Offense 3-4 maybe 5 WR, 50/50 pass and run. QB competition will be biggest part of fall camp, WR group will surprise people. O-line will be good mentioned Brumfield and Lewis.

On D, biggest question is CB #2. All CB's will have an equal chance to compete for that #2 CB spot. White, Greedy, and Lawrence will be the team leaders on D.

Q1. Florida rivalry intensity.
A!. It's always been intense and will continue to be that way.

Q2. This is year 2 for you, do you feel more settled?
A2. I have known my staff members for a long time and they have all been great assets.

Q3. Why CSE as OC?
A3. I have known CSE since 1974. I know he is a great coach and set records at LSU and he is worthy of the position. I tried to go get the best (Canada) and it did not work out. I told myself if I get the chance to give CSE the job I would.

Q4. Meaning of Devin White to the team
A4. Team leader and a blessing for us to have.

Q5. How big was the win at UF last year.
A5. It was a huge win. Our team leadership won us that game and catapulted us to win against Auburn. I look forward to the game this year because Dan is a great coach.

Q6. What does Jimbo bring to the SEC
A6. Hes a great coach and recruiter. He will be an asset to the conference.

Q7. How big is it to have the transfers and have former players return to campus.
A7. Joe will be a big help to this team, we are blessed to have him and we would love to have more Tigers return to campus to be around the team.

Q8. 0-6 against Bama. How to fix it?
A8. We can compete with them physically but did not make the plays to win. Our guys believe they can compete, just need to make the plays.

Q9. Gambling issues
A9. This is not in my wheelhouse.

Q10. CSE, is the best OC available?
A10. Being around him everyday proved he is the best. I know him, he knows me, the players know him and love him. I know we would be on the same page and I am more comfortable with him at the position. He is a great recruiter and is a great game day play caller.

Q11. Red shirt rule.
A11. Some kids are ready some are not. we had 22 signees and played 20 last year. We will play kids early if they are ready, if not we red shirt them to let them learn and grow as they need to so they can be ready for the future.

Q12. 5 new coaches in the SEC, job security
A12. I was glad to still have my seat at LSU. The SEC expectations are high and at LSU they are high, in the SECw you see the best and its the reason people come here to play and coach

Q13. at Penn was it your idea to use a helicopter to recruit
A13. Not sure it was my idea but the reason we did it was because some games it was easy to get there vs a car. it obviously turned heads.

Q14. Grad transfers how to find them?
A14. We had 2 scholarships open and had guys to put there but they did not fit the bill. We decided to use them on Qb and DB. We had a list of names for both positions and we got great young men and players.

Q15. how is OC change different at LSU than it was at Ole Miss?
A15. its tough when you make a mistake and its even tougher to not admit when you make a mistake. I had to make a change to do what was best for LSU

Q16. UGA game
A16. Kirby has done a tremendous job at UGA but he should expect a loud and crazy environment in Death Valley at night.

Q17. Qb competition
A.17 we want this decision to be settled in fall camp. if not we will use 2 QBs. I think it will be settled in camp.

Q18. Why did Joe stand out as a transfer and what does he bring
A18. Bill Busch gave us an advantage bc he was on staff and gave us a scouting report on him. Bill knows his dad and family and knows he's a great guy from a great family. Had a long meeting with dad and joe CSE lead meeting. We felt his knowledge of the game and ability to run the offense, he is strong, accurate and he is a great addition.

Q19. Rashard Lawrence
A19. He is healthy and is a team leader. He will play 3 and 4 technique and will be a more dominant player this year.

Q20. What qualities will determine starting QB
A20 day-in-day-out running the offense. smart decisions , accurate, understanding of the offense, and leadership. I want a clear cut decision. I want it to be obvious to the coaches and players.

Obviously this is not word for word and I may have missed a detail here or there but this is the over all gist of what was asked and what his answers were.

I hope this helps those who were not able to watch.

Here is the Transcript of every question and answer from CEO today at SEC Media Day.

Unfortunately, there is a slim to none chance of this being anything other than a 2:30 CBS game.

If I was betting money on anything LSU this year it would be that we play UGA at 2:30.

Legalized sports gambling and its impact on the injury report. It was a dumb and useless question.

Talking about legalizing gambling on college sports, how it would affect blah blah blah. O said not a question in his wheelhouse.

I took it as something along the lines of “why no trick plays, a la Miles.” Riverboat gambler. Just my guess.

ETA-never mind. I didn’t see that they were talking about legalizing gambling or whatever.

Fixed. Thanks for keeping me honest. My wife was talking to me while I was typing some of it so I'm sure I made a few other mistakes.

LSU fans better hope this game is at 2:30. If it's not then the season has already gone to shite.

UGA will be undefeated going into that game. @South Carolina is the only game they'll even have to give a shite about to win.

that was a good report on what Coach O had to say but some people just don't like our coach so they like to be like liberals and down vote anything good that Coach O does.

The atmosphere for a 2:30 game would rival any night game if LSU is as good as we all hope by that game. Think 2003. Some of LSU’s best crowds have been for afternoon games.
