I Remember when Daronte Jones was our DC and Baker was linebacker coach but O had a Defense full of his players and we held Alabama and Bryce young to 75 yards rushing because our dline was gooood!

Ed had a great team motto: "block out the noise."

unfortunately his players decided to not buy into this after the natty. They'd rather march with BLM than go to practice.

Ed gave this program the greatest single year in LSU history.

Never forget that. The China Virus hoax was the beginning of the downfall.

Main problem was the poor quality of the assistants he hire after 19

You can thank Woodward for forcing the Pelini hire.

He was well on his way to doing just that.

LSU was extremely fortunate that the transfer portal became a thing at the same time Ed started his collapse.

I never wanted him hired, and he did what I thought would be impossible. That natty alone was enough to justify his downfall and allowed Kelly to come in here thinking LSUs name alone would give him a natty.

20-21 sucked, but the rebound was fast. O really didnt set us back that far. Back then I thought he did. Now? I dont believe so. Kelly himself was his biggest enemy.

He lost the team. According to Fehoko, it was Ryan Clark’s fault.

His natty is probably one of the main reasons Kelly came in and thought the bare minimum would get him a title here.

LSU turned it around quickly in spite of the disaster that Orgeron was barreling towards.

Both things can be, and are, true. Firing Orgeron when they did is the only reason LSU didn’t sink completely into the abyss.

He went through a mass exodus after the championship and a global pandemic. He made the wrong hires. It is what it is. But he was excellent all throughout he first few years. Not only were his teams talented but they were also well disciplined and played together. He also managed the games on the sidelines well.

Instead, this dude decimates the roster putting us in the position of having to hire a mercenary to get us back on track.

The Draft decimated the roster, followed by COVID. Then, our fans were ready to fire him. And fans like you still use him as the scapegoat four years after he was fired.

Agree about O. Disagree about Landry. The governor did what no one within the university was willing to do: get rid of an AD and HC who were in cahoots with their own agent to keep fleecing LSU with substandard product on the field.

RC was a part of it. O chasing women didn't help, GF protests didn't help, a reporter sticking a mic in his face and asking about Trump didn't help, Covid schedule that removed rent a wins didn't help, losing like 19 players to the draft didn't help, Chase sitting out a year didn't help, Brennan having season ending injuries didn't help. There was more than just the typical, and true, O's actions were his undoing.

Right, COVID wasn't a factor whatsoever with the next season? So many think this had nothing to do with O not giving a F but most football people, players I know felt the same way! He was going to bask in the glory after an Unbeaten Season! So O won a NC with the best season ever and you say he destroyed the program ????????????????
