The road grader is back on the line. That should help keep interior pressure off of Burrow and give our stable of RBs some push on the left side to get some holes. If he can back up his blocking assignment a half yard or a yard, that's going to get the running game more productive and force the LBs up to respect to the possibility the RBs are gonna torch them, making that passing attack across the middle that much more lethal. Plus, we get some critical depth on the O-line that we may need down the stretch.

The importance of having Ingram back cannot be understated.

I skimmed through the post. Were we able to redshirt him last year?

Not correct

quote:

NCAA mandates a two day acclimation period before they are allowed to practice

This is from the article in The Advocate

quote:

With Ingram's full reinstatement, the only technical barrier from playing in an official game is the NCAA's five-day acclimatization period. During the first two days, players can wear helmets. On the third and fourth days, they can wear helmets and shoulder pads. On the fifth day, they can participate in full pads.

Does anyone know any more details about this case? At the end of the day, we have to trust that Ingram and the alleged victim both got due process, and I hope for everyone's sake that the charges were dropped because nothing criminal actually happened.

At the same time, what he was charged with is pretty serious, and in the back of my mind I worry that he's getting away with something and we're all just agreeing not to think about it too much because we're glad he's back with the team. Hope that's not the case.

Charges were dropped and case is sealed so that is probably all we will know.

We know there were serious allegations.
Do you have any facts to base to concerns that the charges were actually true?
If not, why are you concerned he is "getting away" with something?

I don't know any facts about the case other than what was reported. But come on, sometimes people get off easier than they should for a variety of reasons.

I'm just saying, it would be easier to celebrate Ingram returning if I could be 100% sure there wasn't some 14 year old girl who got pressured into keeping silent about this if he did something to her. Maybe (and I really hope) there was nothing like that at all. But it does happen sometimes in these cases.

I'm not claiming to be super informed about this. But given how little we know about the case, and the seriousness of the charges, it's not crazy to wonder what actually happened.
