talk to me when Coach O leads us to an undefeated season...then I'll happily eat some crow. (spoiler alert: won't happen).

don't understand why anyone is eating crow after a 14 point loss to bama. Mix that in with embarassing losses to TROY and Mississippi State. Ridiculous.

eta: WE LOST TO TROY

what remains lost on me is why did LSU come out the gate so very slowly? Youth, suspensions, newness, etc????

Let's see we had 15 guys from lasts years team in NFL camps this offseason. First & foremost too many people are taking this for granted.

The transfers & expulsions over the last 2 years are really coming to light too

We've played 17 freshmen regularly

Our 3 best players have been affected by injury the majority of the season . Guice/Key/Lawrence

You may not realize it, but Coach Eaux has already replaced a coordinator.

It is good to know some people can honor their word and even better to know that the Tigers ARE indeed improving. I will enjoy the rest of this season.

this year's team is probably the least talented team we've had in 15 years.

Arden Key
Devin White
Rashard Lawrence
Ed Alexander
Donte Jackson
Derrius Guice
Will Clapp
Greedy Williams
Kevin Toliver
Toby Weathersby
Foster Moreau
Russell Gage
DJ Chark

That's 11 guys - not including any freshman - who I would bet even money on anyone of them making it in the NFL. This is way more talent than 2014(?) team that lost to Ms State at LSU. That team had DJ Welter at LB and freshman Godchaux starting at DT with Sophomore LaCouture next to him.

Of course, LSU improved tremendously since the Troy loss because we got back all the key players that had to sit that game out. Not to mention, although it took a while, Arden Key is finally back to being his old self again.

Meanwhile, like unhinged lunatics you moonbats went on a feeding frenzy of it's all O's fault, we must fire O, and hijacked the rant spewing your unhinged insanity for weeks.

His main contribution is staying the hell out of the way of the people coaching. If he continues to do that then I will give him credit for doing that.
Our fan base begged for years for the head coach to stay out of the way. Now that this coach is staying out of the way, our fan base is knocking him for it.

So which is it?

I'm still not sold on O, but I'm hopeful that that will change. I know they've been playing better, but the Troy loss is still a big blemish on the season. If we can beat everyone we're supposed to next season, then I'll be much more pro-O.

That being said, this team is a good bit more talented than 2008

Nah. I enjoyed that season over this. because it was the most successful season in LSU football history. Not because we lost on 1/9/12. You'd rather what we have now than then? Haha.

yes, they are improving.

And getting some players healthy was part of that.

Also, getting some key players some experience has been part of that improvement (defense mainly).

HOWEVER, to the OP, it's probably a little early yet to eat crow. This chapter is still being written. Finish 2nd in the W, consider it behind us.

At this point, the only crow that should be eaten are for the "apocalypse is upon us" crowd that said improvement was never going to happen, it was impossible, and that we'd never win a SEC game under CEO.

As far as I'm concerned for a "turnaround", it's a 3-point turn and we've only done 1 so far. Happy we've done that 1, but there's more to go. So don't eat too much crow just yet.

You can't blame the failures completely on O while giving the assistant coaches all of the credit for the successes.

Except that the improvement, at least on the offensive side, is supposed to have come when Alleva told O to stop meddling in Canada’s offense. So, the only credit we can give O there is doing what his boss told him to do. Not exactly the highest form praise. In fact, it is more like damning by faint praise.

Come on, this team is loaded with NFL talent, just like the rest of them. Makes the early losses even worse.

We literally had people saying we were less talented than Troy. Now all of a sudden people think we have the talent to beat bama.

3 of those guys didn't play in the miss st or troy game. Key may have played against troy I can't remember but he was not the same player he is now. The only thing that has really changed is those guys are healthy, they switched up the o-line a bit and some players are stepping up as leaders. Some of you are fricking blind as to why the team is playing better now.
