I’ll be honest, didn’t really know him after hearing Herbstreit rave about him as a freshman. Until he became a Tiger. But I’ve been a fan of his as a starter since

Eat Your Crow Here- re: Jayden Daniels

No crow for me. I meant every word I said about him because I kept it constructive. He did (and exceeded) all the things he needed to do to correct and improve where he was ending last season. In fact, from his own mouth, that is why he came back. He knew he needed to improve on throwing the ball downfield and making decisions. Check, I think he has done that.

In and interview recently he said it took Nabors getting on his arse to let it fly and not worry that the receivers were not open...yet. He said, put it up there and we will make plays.

I am 100% behind him because he has worked his arse off and exorcised whatever demons he had.

This shite is so stupid. JD proved his critics correct by doing what they criticized him for not doing and became the best QB in the country and you braindead retards somehow think that means they were wrong.

I'm not gonna eat crow because the criticism was justified of JD last year. This year he has made a huge leap in his development. Even in the FSU game he looked good, if those WRs make those catches he has a different game.

What I'm most impressed with and what every LSU fan should be excited about is, we have the best offensive coaching staff since 2019 and maybe the best ever. They got the best out of JD when a lot of places probably wouldn't have. A lot of fans are thinking Nuss is going to be a big drop off next year, I don't believe that these coaches will get the best out of him.

I was very much the same and I don't think I can disagree with a single thing you stated. I have been proven wrong about JD and am thoroughly enjoying wolfing down this full plate of crow. Feathers, beak, and all.

I’ll be happy to eat my crow. Dude went from not reading or anticipating anything to being damn near flawless every week with his reads and decisions and it has launched him to potentially have the greatest single season a college QB has ever had. He defied all odds in his progression. But the finger pointing from the “told you so” crowd is pretty ridiculous. Nobody saw this coming. His physical tools were always there, and sure some improvement was to be expected in the second year in the system. But nobody knew he’d be the beast he’s become.

I didn't think a fifth year player would make the passing progress he made this season. I was very wrong.

100% in the same boat, I think at time last year and this year nuss needed a series or two but man has he turned into everything I could possibly have hoped for… he started airing it out!!

Sometimes still throws it behind dudes but he sees the field so much better this year after that first game

Secondly; it was the calling for Nuss as if he was better.

With thr information at hand ag the time Nuss' performance against UGA and the first game stinker by JD, it was logical to assume JD could not take the next step and Nuss was better.

Yep, I’ll take my crow smoked with a side of cranberry sauce and a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo.

Most dynamic duel-threat QB to ever play in the SEC. Wish he had one more year and we had a much-better defense.

I dogged the shite out of JD and was clearly wrong. The young man is legit through and through.

I can’t eat crow. I’ve been a JD fan from the beginning
im in that number that expected him to have a heisman campaign this year, last year.

Figured it’d play out like Burrow’s career where he’d take a gigantic leap in the offseason and he has.

Daniels has pretty much admitted that he was hesitant with his reads and tucked and ran too quick last year.

Thing is he's still tucking and running at a fair clip, it's just that he's running even better and when he does pass he's passing downfield a bit more and better.

Look, he came to a new team, new coaches and a new system having to develop timing with a new set of receivers.

And what he's done once he put in the time and the effort in is truly remarkable, not many QB's in that position could reasonably be expected to make the leap he did.

Burrow made a tremendous leap from his Junior to Senior seasons as well. I can remember folks here in 2018 saying Burrow hung on to the ball too long and I can say with confidence few expected Joe to be as great as he was in 2019.

And having said all that I think the leap Jaden has made is even a bit more impressive. Not saying he's better - I realize that's blasphemy..just that the degree of improvement is.
