If he stayed he would have another year to get more physicality in his game.

He couldn't see Fournette and Adams leaving him behind. He was the number 1 or 2 WR coming out of HS, so him staying would have been admitting he didn't play as well as the other two. Just my opinion.

Next man up LSU has some great WR's that will compete for playing time to replace Dupre

Hope so but don't think so.

Wish him the best, but not quite the career I expected out of the #1 receiver in the country out of high school. He's going to have to do some serious work on his hands before the combine
Not to pile on, but how in the world was he ranked so high? He's not overly fast or physical and is 6'2/6'3"ish. And he can't have caught more than a couple dozen passes in his high school career. Was he just a 7 on 7 beast? Like 7-on-7 GOAT beast?

How did I know this thread would be filled with nerdy armchair coaches and thinly veiled insults about a guy that could have gone literally anywhere in the country to play ball but chose to stay home and represent his home state even though lots of people probably told him he'd be better off somewhere else.
He played, went to class, stayed out of trouble, and wasn't a distraction on or off the field. He has earned the right to apply for his long awaited career, and he will get a position, even if it may be at a lesser salary than he would have hoped or others predicted.
So many "fans" here talking about him "not being ready", but where do you think he will get better instruction, from Dameyune Craig in BR or from an NFL coach in an NFL organization practicing and playing against other NFL players at NFL speeds and in NFL systems??
This is absolutely the right decision, and his first contract will likely earn him more money than most posters here could hope to make in a decade.
Congratulations Chi, enjoy being a professional athlete, you have earned it. Just know that the work only gets harder from here, but the benefits can be exponentially greater if you rise to the challenge.
Thanks for the memories and the effort. And most of all, thanks for making us proud and choosing the purple and gold on NSD 2014. It was a much needed boost to morale, even if the "fans" don't always remember that.
Forever LSU

2nd or 3rd round. He'll show out well without pads. His soph tape is good too, considering he had a retard throwing to him

He should have stayed. He's going to struggle with the physicality in the NFL
Um, he can work on that while getting paid in the NFL.

Same people that said Kwon was too small to play in NFL
but Kwon produced, big time, when he was here. Being undersized is a legit concern, but nobody questioned Kwon's skill or production at LSU. Not so for Dupre.

I'm pretty confident Dupre would have produced if he had Mett throwing to him.
He struggled early this year but finished strong.
He showed what he is capable of against Louisville.

shite like this doesn't need to be posted on this board. Why hate a Tiger because he made a decision for him and not the one you want him to make?
If he decided to stay, you would say he's the greatest wr in the country for next season.

I am not really sure why he was the number 1 receiver out of High School. Especially coming from a school that rarely passed the ball. I'm not surprised his career has been sub par. He's showed glimpses of potential but was never quite the complete package at receiver. It's best that he's declared for the draft because there is probably better talent down the depth chart. I wish him luck in the NFL but if you ask me, he will have a very short career. He's just not physical enough to have longevity at the next level. I hope he proves me wrong but that's what I believe.

Malachi will be a productive starter in the NFL.
