The dumbest thing I can remember was an answer, not a question. My step-brother was wearing a #21 UVA basketball jersey(mid 90's), and our buddy asked him who's jersey it was. And all proudly my step-brother answered, Tiki Barber. He was only UVA's biggest name on the football team, you would think a UVA fan would know that, while I knew almost nothing about UVA at the time, and just went

I guess my mom when I was younger she hollered at the refs hey the guy on defense (DT) is holding why can't the guy on offense (OL) hold. Thats not fair. Good question but obvious answer.

I have a friend (who shall remain nameless) who was attending a basketball game and didn't like a sequence of particularly rough play. She was on the floor close to the action and when the ref ran by, she yelled, "Why didn't you throw the flag, ref?!"

Honest, sitting next to a couple at an LSU game and the guy asked the girl....
I wonder why tthey dont walk Mike around the field on a leash instead of that cage. People could see him better.

When I was at the 2009 BCS at the Rose Bowl (seated on about the 10yrd. line) a Gump fan came up the aisle and asked me if I knew how to get to his seats. I looked at his ticket and pointed toward mid-field and said, "it looks like you're on about the 40yrd. line. He said, "so these seats are better than right here?"

Well, it's a good question, because apparently Alabama didn't lose at home last year to LSU
In fact they received a Bye for the SECCG...and waited to see who their opponent would be in the BSCCG.
I'd ponder the question seriously as well

Not a dumb question but an announcer gaff. Last year sitting in postgame traffic I was listening to Hannegrif and Risher analyze the game when Risher made a comment about "Markevious Bingo" and just kept on sailin... Shortly thereafter he retorted that he might need to apologize to Mrs Mingo and family. I could just see this mental vision of Hannegrif fallin out of his chair laughing on that one.
