He did get a few dead center but most of the ones I saw were arms and shoulders. Watch his at-bats. He crowds the plate and leans in a bit, any pitch inside is rife for him to be hit.

Both Crews & Dugas said that they were coached to keep their feet / legs stationary & just move their upper bodies. The first week of practice every player would stand in the box while a pitcher threw wiffle balls at them. "After that week, it was second nature to take the hit while keeping our feet still". Something else CJJ instituted.

He doesn’t even really have a punchable face or behave like he should get hit. Tommy White would make a little sense. Even Jobert.

Dugas just looks and acts like a nice dude.
