Order one using cajungrocer.com. They've got to have SOMETHING on there.

I am pretty sure Darron Thomas and Lamichael James are used to the Texas heat.

but maybe not because Ducks might be able to go longer in practice and like it because they don't have to deal with the unbearable heat.

We have a big ol air conditioned building we spend a TON of time in to get reps.

Awesome thread.
We should keep it alive and see how many pages it will go. It will get us through the next few weeks until the games starts.

even if it were retractable or open like the old Texas Stadium I remember about this time in 2004 before the Oregon State game and how the Beaves were just going to wilt.

Seems like that was a pretty close game. But I may be wrong since Saban was coaching then and best I've heard from rivals and the media is we dominated every team he faced.

It is.

Why in the world would they open that roof when it would be hotter than Hell?

Do you guys not remember the 2003 NCCG in the Superdome? It was an indoor stadium ... our guys were going into the locker room getting ivs.

I would imagine that was more due to poor hydration and adrenaline, than weather conditions OUTSIDE of the Dome.

Coaches are on record that our summer conditioning was the best we've had.

If they didn't file signed and notorized affidavits in the courthouse to that effect, I don't want to hear it.

Good point...on a side note, I think I am going to call in to work today because the rain is going to get my desk all wet.

Yes, but if you practiced working in the rain, you would be a better worker - even if you're working at a dry desk.

Believe me, Ive been living in Portland now for 5 years. This year has been an incredibly cool summer for the Pacific NW. I has only been in the eighties a couple of times so far this year. I say Oregon comes out in the first half in great condition, but by the 4th quarter they will be done

I just wanted to save this just in case it may be needed in the future.

This is valuable insight. Les has abig card up his sleeve here. he's going to have his old buddy JErry Jones open the hole in the roof and turn off the airconditioners in asurprise move at half time and THAT IS WHEN WE MAKE OUR MOVE! Sucker punch!

It has everything to do with this than the latter, don't know why Choctaw found it so funny.

You mean the Ducks, because with all of the training that LSU does in the heat and humidity, this would obviously be the death knell for the Ducks.

Practicing in cooler weather vs heat like we have in Louisiana will have minimal effects on either teams physical conditioning.

I think practicing in heat, though, does mentally prepare a team more so than cooler conditions.

In the heat, the body is subjected to more stress, and it is in these times that one would lose a mental focus. By experiencing these conditions, LSU will be able to emulate 4th quarter mental conditions much easier, that may help them perform in crucial situations.
