DT solutions already on roster

I know everyone is highly concerned about DT depth, and rightfully so. However, rather than purge the transfer portal, do we have any solutions already on roster at DE that could be shifted inside after bulking up this offseason?
I know S. Jones was mentioned in another thread. How about Shand or Womack?

Jones may get moved and they’ll sign 2-3 DT in the spring portal

Jones and/or Shand will have to play some DT if not move there permanently.
IMO Jones is a better candidate since it seems like he struggled to move as well as you need a DE to move in the SEC at 280.
Shand on the other hand looked quick at 280.

Guillory
Washington
Lee
McKinley
Jones
Breaux (needs to bulk up)
DE:
Womack
Shand
Swinson
Howard
Reliford
Jackson
I might be missing some DEs but these are the ones that I think have a shot of playing.

Shand and Jones are both like 280 right? Its not a huge leap to think they could play inside. Will need a guy or 2 just for experienced depth but the numbers are not near as bad as the melt on here would have you believe.

I guess Shand could, they list him at 6'5" 280 as of now, but we still need to get in the portal something serious.
Also need Guillory to channel his energy into stuff that happens during plays and not after the whistle. But that's another thread.

Jones is not a dt, his body type won't let him get up to 300 plus. Most coaches think he will slime down this year to get his burst back.
Lsu needs to get 2-3 dt in the portal.

How does Jefferson not have one more year?
He’s played 4 full seasons and a redshirt, but should still have the free Covid year.

What’s up with the kid from University of Houston, J’amaree Caldwell? 4* and welll over 300. 4th ranked DT in portal so far.

His "redshirt" year was his Covid year. He's played in more than 4 games in 5 different seasons.
2019 - 11 Games (FR)
2020 - 6 Games (rsFR - Covid)
2021 - 13 Games (So)
2022 - 12 Games (Jr)
2023 - 13 Games (Sr)
