Dream offseason for LSU in my opinion.

#1 and above EVERYTHING else
Fire Matt House and replace him with a proven DC or a ex-HC.
Some Candidates in mind:
Jesse Minter- Michigan DC
Lance Guidry- Miami DC
Pete Golding- Ole Miss DC
List will obviously get much longer once we see some firings and other moves around CFB
#2 Finish recruiting strong and in the top 6
This should be much easier to do now that Jimbo got whacked. Couple of those guys we thought we could flip (Bussey, Miller) should be very gettable now.
#3 Continue the development and success at WR
Not worried about this one but Shelton Sampson and Jalen Brown (two five stars) are next up for WRU. I’m excited to see them take the next step.
#4 Obtain veteran cornerbacks in the transfer portal
It sucks we’re going to have to do this but no questions asked we have to hit the portal hard at CB. I want a minimum of 2 proven veterans and would love a couple of other guys to give the room some depth
#5 Hit the portal for another QB.
This will be controversial but in my eyes you 100% have to bring in someone to compete with Nuss.
Candidates:
Malik Murphy- Texas QB
Jayden de Laura- Arizona QB
Devin Brown- OSU QB
Conner Weigman- A&M QB
Just to name a few guys who may hit the portal. I am not opposed to looking there. The two best QBs in LSU history were from the portal. We seem to find the right guys there.
These are just a few things that I would love to see happen this off-season. I’m excited about the trajectory of this team right now offensively and believe we can and will get better on the other side of the ball.

Golding doesnt make sense. Don’t think he’d jump to his 3rd different defensive coordinator position in 3 years

Look at how well we did at CB thru the portal last 2 years. We need to sign 5 HS CB’s this year and hope we get a winner or 2. Development time

Nick Saban gets run over by a garbage truck in the predawn hours. As it is still dark, the truck decides to back up to see if they hit something, but the Tuscaloosa garbage truck driver inadvertently dumps his load of waste behind him. About that time, a dog comes along and takes a dump on the pile of trash. The smell is so bad that one of the garbage men regurgitates his breakfast on the pile. I’m fine with either Minter and Guidry. They aren’t the only options, but they are good ones.
Golding is just a Saban shadow who has never been mistaken for a good coach. We need a guy who can coach and recruit at a high level. The admins need to keep him and Arnett off the list.
If we bring in a portal QB, it HAS to be an upperclassman with 1 year left like OM did with Spencer Sanders. We are at the 10 yard line with Underwood right now. Michigan is starting to look at another QB for the class, which is a great sign. You don’t do anything to frick that up now. Bringing in an underclassman with 2+ years remaining would be a mistake.

Honestly the dream off-season for LSU would be that the evil in Tuscaloosa is exposed for what it is, and we never have to hear the lies about it again. I’d settle for it just being gone though, even if the false legend remains.

I agree the portal and the Db's signed by LSU with it have been mostly bad. LSU's recruiting the Highschool ranks at DB have recently been avg at best. Until LSU starts playing the NIL game and paying top recruits we may stay in this portal/Avg DB for a while. The problem then is the guys that you develop at DB from high school may decide to transfer after their Soph year because of the portal.

They already dropped serious money on recruits and we all see how that has worked out for them…If money fixed all problems they would not be in this position they are now…
