Where was he on the depth chart? Was he battling for playing time or was he pretty far down the chart?

Don’t let the Judicial process get in the way of convicting someone in the court of public opinion.
There no constitutional right to play football. Or keep a job.
What would you have us do, wait until a conviction, and then an appeal, to take action?

He’s suspended, he isn’t playing. He’s already guilty according to everyone here

BATON ROUGE - An LSU football player accused of punching his girlfriend so hard it broke one of her ribs was arrested Friday. Drake Davis, a junior wide receiver, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of second-degree battery. Bond was not immediately set. Davis, who is listed on the LSU Football roster as being 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds, is accused of breaking one of the woman’s ribs in April. He also is accused of strangling her, punching her and ripping an earring from her ear during an attack in June, according to the warrant. Police say in the warrant that Davis also texted the victim “I might kill you.” LET THE COURTS DETERMINE THE OFFENSE COMMITTED

That’s not what he’s saying.
He’s saying everyone should wait before completely trashing the guy. The suspension is understandable at this point. We’ve seen women make up stories against our own players before. I’m not saying this isn’t true, just let the system play out. It most likely is true, but we shall see. I also admit I haven’t read the entire thread though.
I hate this so much.

If the CEO of IBM was accused (legitimately) of beating his wife, he'd be immediately fired, and appropriately so.
Due process from the government in a criminal matter is far different than what we do in the outside world. Surely you get that, right?

Yeah, you assholes are forgetting that none of this came out until he broke up with her this past week.
We don't know how mentally sound this chick is. Women pull their punches in this sort of way.
If Drake did this, then yeah, he's a piece of shite. But, you guys are acting like you're his roommates and know what's going on. You don't.

It appears some of the smaller receivers were victims of him beating them out.

If he did it there absolutely no excuse. I will never understand how these kids throw their careers and opportunities away over girls they likely won’t even be with long term anyway.

A text saying “I might kill you” is pretty damning

Unfortunately there are many innocent people that have been fkd over by others. This appears to be a slam dunk case, and honestly the text message is very damning, but you never know.

Sure didn’t expect that out of a kid like Drake Davis, anywho I’ll hold my judgement.
You obviously don't know any kids that knew him at a school off of Perkins and a school in bay St. Louis

Nah....that honor goes to Bowling Green. And then every college in Iowa. Georgia and Miss. State vying for honors, too. All universities deal with this crap.
