Haven’t been there in years. Are bars on Commerce St a good spot to take some baws for drinking on the weekend and game watching?

No. Downtown Shreveport is awful. Go over the bridge to the Eastbank in downtown Bossier City. There’s a strip of restaurants/bars. It’s blown up over the past 5 years.. good area

Is the Blind Tiger no longer there?

Any casino with a sports book should work for your purposes.

Don't recommend downtown unless you are at one of the casino bars. I agree East Bank district on the Bossier Side or they have Walk-ons and Wild Wings on both sides of the river.

Can’t imagine why somebody would want to go to the Blind Tiger.

All you need is a flak jacket and 9mm.

It’s there but not a place I’d want to be on Friday/Saturday night

OP, heed the advice given and stick to the Sportsbooks or Eastbank Bossier.

Seventh tap will be showing it or will if you ask. Best beer probably in the state and they'll either have a food truck (Shreveport) or they have solid food on site (bossier).

If not there then flying heart will probably have it on.

Not great. Honestly the east bank is kinda shite. Seventh tap is great though I haven't been to the new location yet. Flying Heart beer is really hit or miss but the food is solid.

The Horseshoe has a Sportsbook now with a big screen and bunch of TVs to watch multiple games, a bar, tables to sit and eat, and of course bet.

Beauxjax is a good spot. Avoid downtown Shreveport at all costs. Nothing like it use to be, way worse now. East Bank in Bossier is a really nice spot.

The blind tiger is still there and has gone downhill.... downtown is largely dead. Fattys has a killer whiskey selection and TVs but the vibe is....confusing. missing link is ok...no TVs.

The east Bank district has cool places with TERRIBLE food...with the exception of the new 7th tap...which has no TVs.

ETA flying heart has solid food. I for some reason always forget it's there lol

Margaritaville has a nice two-story sportsbook spot. Drinks are high, but nice vibe and has food as well. The strip in Bossier where beaux jax is located is nice too

That's putting it nice. Its Aramark LSU concessions food served at about the same temp. We've tried it twice very far apart and have been upset we did both times....easily worst food in SBC

10/10.... beer is obviously next level and the smashburgers are out of this world good! EB district is open container so we really enjoy eating there then getting some walking beers from 7th
