Your prolly right on all points. Miles is a good person of high character. BUT
the lack of QB progression since GC arrival is a serious concern. Matter of factly, what stat could he be responsible for that has shown steady improvment while here at LSU?

Somewhat agree , but that may change if LSU loses the next two games or gets blown out in either one.

One thing Les could do if he's unhappy with Crowton is bring in a proven QB coach to replace McCarthy or Porter if one or both leave. And then what if he takes some play calling away to further marginalize Crowton on the staff? Do you think Crowton hangs around for that?

No, I've had plenty of suggestions and thoughts, I just don't owe you to repost them again. They're in this thread and many others, and if you look up, many are making those same suggestions.

I wonder if we will give him another raise for continuing to underperform?

its not about the money, whatever amount it may be, Miles will treat it just like he did last year, he will tell him to move on and that it wont look like a firing, just helping him out the door so to speak...This time he may give him a deadline, find something by Jan 15th or we will fire you...(that kind of deal)

But Id bet the farm that he doesnt keep him..

Why are you arguing for Crowton Chicken? Are you really trying to convince us that there is just not enough talent or experience on our team to be better then we have been this year. Ridiculous. The only reason we are winning is because of talent and defense. If he was at Miss St or Kentucky or any of the programs that are struggling a little with talent I would suggest a winless team. He has to go! How can someone be so bad at their job and keep it....and yes the rankings for offense are a good reflection at least relative to this conference...since supposedly all other conferences are chicken shite defenses...no pun intended chicken.

With Jefferson returning as a junior, there will be expectations that the offense will have much better success than the one this year that is now ranked 107th in total offense.

Chicken, I agree that a QB with more experience can make a tremendous difference. We do, however, lose Lafell and Scott, along with Ciron Black. I use these 3 as their names are constantly tossed around as senior leaders.

As far as Ciron, I don't see that being a great loss. Our line has not been great so another new face may not hurt at all. Losing Lafell....we don't get him the ball that much anyhow, but it is possible he draws much attention from opposing defenses.

Charles Scott and Keiland Williams.....only time will tell if we can be better without them than with them.

I'm not saying you are wrong....I'm just saying I'm not sure the expectations of a better offense are realistic, considering who we are losing. However, if we utilize our younger players, they truly may have more talent than some we have had in the past.

I would agree that Crowton will be given another year unless he fins a HC opportunity and again, I agree that is not likely at this point.

I hope we see a different offense next year, one that is explosive and has more discipline. We don't have to score 50 points a game but it would be nice to have an offense that has that capability against weak opponents. 35 points a game would make most people happy if we see consistency and what appears to be solid coaching.

I end with.....

he got a raise this year, i would think he probably got a contract extension with that raise.

I was under the impression, and someone else posted this on the coaching changes board as well, that he received a raise without an extension. That would mean that his contract with LSU is up at the end of the season. If this is true I wouldn't be surprised if Miles brought someone in to replace him.
