Yes you are. Watch this.

Blink and you could miss it.

You say:

quote:

you said he used a lot of i everywhere except BYU

he didn't use i-form AT ALL at la tech, and UO was a spread option team

I said:

quote:

Crowton has run I-Form in every offense he has run, with the exception of his last days in BYU. He is a multi-form OC with a Spread focus, not exclusively spread.
Subtle difference.

But anyways:

quote:

EUGENE Oregon offensive coordinator Gary Crowton says the Ducks are trying to mold players into playmakers this spring and “trying to create matchup problems.”

It made sense, then, to introduce Dante Rosario into more of an important role in the Ducks’ offense.

The athletic Dayton High product has moved to tight end, well, kind of. He will still do some fullback duties blocking from the I-formation, for instance as he has done for the past two seasons in Oregon’s traditional offensive sets.

But with Crowton implementing the new spread offense, which emphasizes putting players into open space and allowing them to use athleticism, Rosario will find himself at the line of scrimmage more. He’ll play the “Y” tight end, or the player split out from the offensive line in the slot, and some “H,” the player blocking next to the tackle.
Hmm. So as he is implementing it. . .there was. . .uhhh. . .I-formation

Really hard to find info or much footage of his time at LA Tech on youtube, so I concede that much.

josh D, t-bob, hitt, alexander, woods, and pep are not that talented
I think they were wasted here. I think all of the above were highly sought out of HS. If you are basing it on college production, I covered that in my rant regarding the assistants.

T-Bob, Alexander, and Al Woods had pretty impressive offer sheets for guys that were "not that talented".

They are very talented, they just haven't developed well.

Then this is the year they (the SEC) get it right.

yeah rattay passed for 5,000 yards out of the i-form

and oregon ran tons of spread option out of the i-form

You are twisting my words. . .but you know that.

based on recruiting services who often bump up guys LSU offers b/c they assume miles knows what he's doing

That's a slippery slope you are walking right now. You know where the logical conclusion leads. You aren't that naive.

our OL and DL have a severe lack of talent
:rotflmao:

No.

:bwahaha:
quote:

until this year, when les's OL recruits/switches assumed 4/5 of the OL, we ran just fine under crowton

black - saban recruit
helms - saban recruit
herm - saban recruit

josh D, t-bob, hitt (move to OL), and barksdale = les recruits

once our OL became populated by a majority of les's recruits and DL switches, our OL went to shite

that's bad recruiting/development by les

scott ran just fine last year

Black is a run blocker, who doesn't have the feet to be a LT.

OL has been a huge problem, but it isn't because of recruiting. I think we have a well stocked OLine, they just aren't developing. Last year, our OLine should have overwhelmed EVERYONE on our schedule. Coach Stud is a bust.

Crowton has run I-Form in every offense he has run, with the exception of his last days in BYU. He is a multi-form OC with a Spread focus, not exclusively spread.

I agree with the guy who said lack of I-Form running has been a huge issue, not because of the spread's ineffectiveness, but because of the type of OL we have assembled. Lack of a commitment to the run has been more of an issue.

I stated before that our OC doesn't seem to ever have a cohesive plan for our opponents. He just pulls random plays out of a hat (maybe why he is called the wizard?) and calls them.

Our recruiting has been amazing since Les showed up. To say otherwise is exceedingly ignorant. We have recruited OLineman as well as almost anyone.

We just don't develop them at all.

There may be a number of coaches I'd rather have than Les, but I don't see anything he's doing wrong other than making some poor assistant selections.

If we had a better OL coach last year, we probably play in a BCS Bowl. This year, we'd be undefeated.

Our problems seem to be:

1)Stud
2)Crowton
3)Brick
4)Moffit (just my opinion)
5)Miles

People blaming Miles for the OLine failing the last 2 years is like blaming Obama for the Fed's interest rate.

Tebow is the only answer. Anyone who says otherwise is lying or retarded.

Yes.That was the match-up the "experts" wanted in '03. In fact, they removed SoS from the BCS that year to prevent an SEC team from slipping in. . .

Any word on his improvement?

I ask because Brunell is living on borrowed time, I would think.
