I just want someone who will get the easy 5 yard run for a first down instead of throwing a 45 yard pass on 3rd and 5.
Exactly! I am dumbfounded as to why Nuss over an over and over again never runs for obvious first downs on 3rd and short but instead throws 90 yd passes.

Hurley is very smart in the classroom and on the field that’s a start means he is coachable . He needs reps at least third team Swann moves on it’s the perfect storm

I don't expect anything out of him next year. If Nuss returns I think he has a chance of being solid in 26 and 27
Totally agree.
With that said I really hope Nuss returns next year and Colin makes a big leap into QB number 2. Then of course the discussion on the rant will be which QB transfers, Colin or Rickie.

The decision for him to enroll that young still makes no sense. He would have benefitted from playing another year in high school and coming to college more mature physically. By the time he is ready to contribute, he may not have played in a competitive game in three years.

It’s very possible that the next good QB isn’t even on the LSU roster right now. Someone showed a graphic of the top 10 teams and 8 of them had transfer QBs. It’s crazy this era.

I agree. If Nuss leaves, I think there is at least a 50% chance the starting QB is not on the roster yet.

The only way I could see it is if he was some kind of genius and was bored academically in high school. Even then you can take college courses while in high school. I don’t understand him going so early to school?

Apparently he "turned 17" last March 1 and will "turn 18" next march.

I hope he makes us proud. He legit committed and seemed fully committted to us from early age. I hope he crushes it here.

He actually wanted to be an lsu tiger is the reason I am rooting for him and the guy isn't even from louisiana.

The next starting LSU QB is not on this year's roster. Hurley's only shot is if he sticks around 2 more years, which is unlikely.
I agree with you even though you getting downvoted to hell and back. I believe I read where he was a 50% passer. He may have a lot of upside, but he is likely a 2 year project, especially since he played against smaller schools?

I consider him our 2025 QB prospect and think that his career trajectory will be similar to Nuss’s.

High level analysis there

I never understood Jerry Jones giving Prescott the contract that he did . Prescott looked like a weight lifter shot putting the ball in college . just my opinion .

turns 17 this January
He turned 17 in April of this year. Will be 18 in 6mos. Still stunningly young for an SEC football player.
Would have been #2 overall if he stayed in his 2025 class. Instead he came to campus to learn the program.
Can’t wait to see him play.

That was last January. He was 16.
One year later, this January he will be 17. Because 1 plus 16 equals 17.
So he will be a redshirt freshman at 17? Correct?

He will be a redshirt freshman at 18. He turns 18 next spring.

Don't care what anymore else thinks. It was a completely dumb assessment for him to come out as a 16 yr old. Especially at SEC qb.
That kid should have stayed in hand grown up in every way.

From a physical build he was college ready. He's also mobile at that size. He'll be ready to go by 2026, and many of us were all on him before Underwood came into play. I really liked the little bit of him i saw during the spring game as well.
